Trust in the mercy of Jesus. Nobody dies perfect, but saints DO go straight to heaven. It's the smallest number, but it still happens every day.

22:05 As I reflect on the fruits of my labor and the grace I've been given, this discussion comes at a perfect moment in my faith journey. I attend Mass daily, engage in prayer, and practice fasting. Yet, I've been contemplating that in my pursuit of holiness, I must not waste God's graces. I'm striving to discern the talents I possess and how best to share the Gospel. These are my fruits, if you will. How can I utilize my grace effectively, ensuring that I am not like the servant who buried his talents? I often think about purgatory. During Mass, I pray for Jesus and Mary to release as many souls as possible when the priest elevates the Body of Christ during the Eucharistic preparation on the altar. I find myself struggling with this. Despite following the steps, I wonder how to maintain humility. At times, the devil whispers that I am growing too quickly in grace. It feels silly to admit this, but it's a concern I bring up in Confession. How can I stay grounded, knowing that I am doing my best with God and His ways, while also fighting against pride when I feel joy in the Lord?

Yes it is, because you have already seen God and you can't be with Him yet...your life, your sins , pain you caused to others were shown to you..longing to be with God is soo great..this is the suffering..this is how I understand purgatory 🙏🏼

Are you familiar with the Sabbatine Privilege give to Pope John XXII in the 1300's? Those who fulfill the conditions Mary said, would be delivered from purgatory the first Saturday after their death. A tremendous privilege, when you consider that a nun from purgatory said the average stay in purgatory was 30-40 years. One nun who asked for prayers was so hot she touched the door and burned her imprint in it? Have you ever read PURGATORY EXPLAINED BY THE LIVES AND LEGENDS OF THE SAINTS by Father F. X. Shouppe?

St. Catherine of Genoa (1551): “I believe no happiness can be found worthy to be compared with that of a soul in Purgatory except that of the saints in Paradise: and day by day this happiness grows as God flows into these souls.” In some popular prayers and devotions, and in some spiritual writings, purgatory is described as sort of a temporary hell, and differing from hell only in that those in purgatory know they will eventually go to heaven. However, the Catechism of the Catholic Church rejects that view of purgatory. The Catholic Church does not teach that purgatory is a place or that those in purgatory experience the pain of fire: purgatory is not a “mini-hell,” and is entirely different from the punishment of the damned. There is heaven and there is hell, after death, there is no, in-between: (purgatory) only second chance for salvation is, while we're here in this world, and we can get born again of the Spirit of God, to enter into his kingdom: once a person dies, it's either heaven or hell, and all the prayers in the world can not change that! Ezequiel 18:20: praying to the dead and for the dead makes you dead to God, so, "IN JESUS NAME, DON'T DO THAT?" It's an abomination onto the lord!
@gerardinewoods5809Күн бұрын
@@louisvega-oe2sc I do not believe it is an abomination onto the lord to pray for the dead. We pray for the SOULS of the dead,our loved ones,that is why we honour All Souls Day, it is a day which is very important to me,my family friends and neighbours and we shall continue to honour all souls day until we shall one day find ourselves in their place knowing that those we leave behind us in world shall pray for our souls too. May God grant eternal rest unto the souls of our departed loved ones until we meet again. May God bless you.
@louisvega-oe2scКүн бұрын
@gerardinewoods5809 the dead are dead and cannot talk back, nor should we pray for them, that is necromancy! Salvation is from Christ, and we can get that while here in this world through Christ Jesus alone,! Acts 4:12: nothing you can do about the dead, pray and mourn for the living while there is still light!
