This was a clip off his first show: Herb Alpert and the TJB Singer show from 1967 on NBC. Enjoy.
P.S. I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to see Herb and Lani play at Blues Alley in Georgetown Washington DC 12 May 2008. The show was absolutely spectacular. After all these years, they both still have it: the skills and the love. Truly a remarkable show. Herb and Lani, thanks to all of the wonderful years of warming our hearts with your great art work. You both are truly blessed as well as I was at your show.

I have been a fan all my life. Memories of backyard barbies with family and friends in the backyard on a Sunday. TBrass blaring from the pye stereo!! Ha! Mum wearing her kaftan and dad in his bermuda shorts and long woollen socks (in summer). The origianl little portable fire burning bbq's of the day - aaah yes ..1965. Twas a great time to be alive. I was 5...I play the same ol songs today at my bbqs and when i m doing the housework. Gorgeous music. Thanks HAand TB band for fabulous memories.

A great song! Herb Alpert and the TJB really nailed it. It was also the theme music for Clark's Teaberry Gum commercials. Also, "The Dis-Advantages of You" by The Brass Ring was the theme music for Benson & Hedges cigarette commercials.

I lived in El Paso, Texas from August of 62 thru August of 67. This music dovetailed perfectly with the ambiance of the city which remained more like a large town since no freeway went through it until 1971.

i played a lot of his musics before i took up guitar way back in the early `70`s in the island of Tonga ,South Pacific, met him in 1982 in Tujunga Canyon in `81 or `82,my band at that time played island musics ,were hired by some TV networks to play and do some island musics and floor shows, met him behind stage on our break,i introduced myself,we talked for about 20 or so minutes,he asked me about the whereabout of Tonga, he said wow!! that his musics travelled that far and were played by some islanders like me,he told me about``Rise`` before releasing to the public,i was honoured and humbled that he took few minutes to listen to my stories,i was blessed and lucky to meet him,he signed his autograph for me Muchas Gracias Senor Herb Alpert,God bless!!!

Herb and Lani own a Restaurant/Nightclub in Bel Air California where they occasionally perform. I would love to see them live someday. Herb's contribution to music is timeless. Lani's amazing talent starting with her hits with Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66 is notable. What a marriage they have in so many ways.

This melody was and still is very cool and nice to hear. It has such a good Mexican flavor in it. I always liked the Mariachi Style with which Herb played this and so many other tunes.
