I loved Herb’s and Sergio’s music and still do! Saw Herb and Lani in Nashua, NH in May ‘24 and they were awesome!! Can’t get Cabaret out of my head - and don’t want to. Takes me right back to 1968 sounds like it’s today. Brilliant & timeless, Herb!! ❤️👍

I agree. My sister had all his records beginning in the early 60's and I became a fan around '69. Just got Spotify and downloaded all of his studio albums. What a pleasure it is to hear this great music again, in high def. Next I'm going to download the Baja Marimba Band and some Sergio Mendez, two other favorites of my sister back in the day. My Dad wouldn't let us play rock n' roll(I had to hide my copy of 'Meet The Beatles') until I started high school, and I finally wore him down :-) But I'm glad, in a way. I was introduced to a lot of cool music in the 60's. Two other favorites were and are, Henry Mancini and Al Hirt.

I saw Herb Alpert and Lani Hall in Philadelphia in the spring and I agree - what a show. In an intimate setting it was one of the best I've ever seen and playing their CD is just the best. I loved Herb Alpert and the TJB from when I was a young kid and my dad bought the Tijuana Taxi "album." What wonderful humanitarians and keepers of the arts.

My, it is humbling to hear my trumpet playing hero Herb Alpert! It was 1964 and I was a ten-year-old kid. I heard that magical trumpet sound of Herb Alpert and the TJB. I knew then I wanted to be a trumpet player! Here I am 54 years later still playing the trumpet that I love so much! Thank you Herb for inspiring so many trumpet players across the world!

I finally saw Herb Albert, in Knoxville Tennesse. I grew up listening to his music on those all- forgotten 45” records. On A&M . You know what I’m talking about. My favorites: Mame, The Work Song, Our Day Will Come, among so many others. Thank you Herb, thanks for the music , and thanks for the memories.😊

Wow, huge nostalgia from my childhood. I just feel the 70s as a kid when i hear his music. Just like a lot of Jazz and Blues and Rock and orchestral music from the period , it all makes me reminded of so much from back then.
