I grew up listening to this music. My mom loved Herb Alpert and had several of his albums. One of my greatest pleasures in life was to be able to take her to see him in concert before she passed away. And it was one of the best concerts I'd ever been to. The man is an amazing musician.

Herb Alpert. My reverence for him and his lifetime of work is not matched for any other musician. Herb is the epitome of excellence. He has inspired my own music ambitions now for over 50+ years. I agree. My sister had all his records beginning in the early 60's and I became a fan around '69. Just got Spotify and downloaded all of his studio albums. What a pleasure it is to hear this great music again, in high def. Next I'm going to download the Baja Marimba Band and some Sergio Mendez, two other favorites of my sister back in the day. My Dad wouldn't let us play rock n' roll(I had to hide my copy of 'Meet The Beatles') until I started high school, and I finally wore him down :-) But I'm glad, in a way. I was introduced to a lot of cool music in the 60's. Two other favorites were and are, Henry Mancini and Al Hirt.
