Great idea with the salts. I bet they sell well. When your chickies were cheeping my dog was running around the table looking for the brooder box...lol... Right now, there's a chair with a printer sitting on it in it's place. She was convinced that there was babies inside the printer. Adorable. when I told her it'll be 20 more sleeps before we have chickies again, she was fine. Dogs are so smart. We don't give them enough credit. And, your pup is gorgeous 🙂

Hi! for now we are selling salt on a small enough scale that we get the jars on Amazon (amzn.to/3OAAC3I), but if we do a lot more we will look for a more industrial supplier. Our best selling is what we call "Pizza Salt" which has oregano, basil, thyme, onion, and garlic. We currently sell jars for $6 each or 4/$20 at our farmstand.

When you’re transplanting 10s of thousands of baby plants you spent months growing and the moles are popping hundreds of them back out of the ground faster than you can replant them .. you may decide you the benefits aren’t worth it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Can this just be done in a food processor or blender? What a great technique I cannot believe I never thought of making herbal salts.

If you blend the salt it will be super fine - but you can use anything you want to blend the herbs into a purée - some people do blend the salt and herbs together but we don’t like the results

I never knew that rat terriers were good for moles! Makes me think about investing in one of these little guys in the future. Moles are a big problem for us

We occasionally have animals in the kitchen but these weren’t, they were in the next room - and only temporarily

Omg how sad 😥 I couldn't imagine how devastating to open a box of dead birds. How traumatic for the lives ones to be stuck in there with there siblings and friends dying.. someday we'll realize these practices add to the trauma matrix. Always try to buy local when it comes to live animals, worms & beneficial insects.

Our meat chicks are the only ones we can’t get locally - and most of the time If we were buying “local” they wouldn’t be hatched here .. they’d just be shipped In by someone else ..
