Thank you for this video. I would like to make a few for family. I was told that adding a little orris root helps keep the herbs fresh

It's really nice to hear that although you are a Christian, you don't beat down pegans, wiccans, or other religions and even gave out a helpful hint about mugwort. It makes me and probably others feel safe and welcomed. I do have a fun fact for you! There are nuns that are witches but they source their energy from god vs most witches source primarily from themselves when in craft. Thank you for the video, these pillows are very cute!

Thank you so much....yes, I am very fair minded, having been drawn into wicca myself for a period of time. I wrote about this on my website. As a Christian, I have very strong beliefs and no longer do any of the practices God says not to do, but underneath it all is a deep respect for the rights of everyone to believe how they choose. One of our main commands is to love our neighbors as ourselves....and everyone is our neighbor. This means not denigrating them. Did you know that Hildegaard von Bingen was (and still is) a very famous nun, and her teachings include a great deal of mysticism? I have a feeling she may have been one of these nuns of which you speak. :-) It's all so interesting.

Love this idea Heidi. Great info and video. How many drops of the Roman Chamomile and Hops did you use? Thanks!! 🌻

Love this! Could you please clarify how much essential oils to use … Is it a total of 20-30 drops combined in this recipe? Thanks
@HeidiVillegas Жыл бұрын
Because this is for a dry tea blend, I didn't really measure---it's not for topical use. I just added what I thought would smell nice. And yes, it was about 20-30 drops for the amount of herb I used....which isn't a whole lot but enough to power up the scent. :-) You could just a single essential oil, or create a nice blend you enjoy.

Years ago, I found a couple of homemade dolls at a thrift store that had a wonderful spicy/herbal smell that lasted for the many years I had those dolls. The dolls looked like they could have been from Jamaica ~ maybe. I’m about to make small stuffed whales for my grandkids and I want them to smell good for a long time, like the dolls. Would I use your herb and oil method?
@HeidiVillegas5 ай бұрын
Yes, you could just add a little sachet to the stuffing. :-)
