10:53 that's the adapter plate for HL 230 starter crank. The rear wall of the hull is at an angle, so the adapter plate creates a connection parallel to the engine. The place where you glued it is its stowed position. To start the Tiger it gets connected to what's behind the large cylinder hatch directly below it. One of the holes in it is for the HL 210 from earlier models, they left that in case a replacement for an earlier Tiger was needed to be used on an older engine.

Ah... "Sturmtiger"... or as we call it in Germany: SPSB - Self-propelled Sauerkraut Boiler. The only purpose it was useful for. 😁

I always end up putting the tracks on opposite sides, it usually isnt much harm but sometimes it means it doesnt fit properly. I seem to have a bear of a time with link and link while others do not, I will be giving them ago soon with a new takom 1/72 Chieftain Mk10-11 combo kit I picked up for my Birthday, looks very.. daunting lmao but awesome video!

I started the Tamiya 1/48 Panzer II at the weekend but made some mistakes...as a noob, my goal is to get my assembled models looking as clean as yours so I don't have to say, 'Whoops...I will cover that up with weathering!'.

The tool you don’t know the name for is for connecting tow chains. I don’t know what it’s called either. Another great build Herbert - thanks

Excellent walk-through H.E.. Merci. By chance, do you know if Tamiya will expand its 1/48th scale line? I'd hope they would... more options is always better.

Agreed I wish they’d run more kits! Maybe a Maus?

Technically if it has a rifled barrel it's not a gun. On the other hand if a vaguely cylindrical thing that hurls projectiles is pointed even vaguely in my direction, a single syllable "GUN" seems sensible.

Wasn't the main weapon on this thing technically a torpedo tube?
@TurnStyleGames4 жыл бұрын
Just off the top of my head, the 380mm(?) 'gun' was derived from a large rocket-propelled depth charge launcher. I'd imagine they simply changed the warhead/munition being fired.

Where is the poly cap? I can't find it. Do you get it from somewhere else?
@HerbertErpaderp3 ай бұрын
Sometimes they're just missing, unfortunately. I'm not sure where exactly you'd get them separately. Their main purpose is to hold stuff in place without the need for glue, so when I'm missing some I usually just glue the assembly in place.
