In so many ways, Frontier put so much effort into the animations, a lot of them are really unique and just downright cool as hell. On the other hand, we have the Ankly going down in three hits then ragdolling halfway through a death animation…I’m hoping they’ll balance things out in future updates

They could also stand a chance against a large carnivore. Triceratops for one could easily beat a rex, yet they stand almost no chance of doing so in game, same with ankylosaurus.

LITERALLY in the franchise we see trikes, stegos, ankys, apatos and paras living together with no problem. I really wish we could mix herbivores again I had so many ideas. like a pachy/sino enclosure or something. They really threw so many exhibit ideas people could have had in the trash by making all the herbivores hate their own relatives. Now I'm all for herbivores being able to fight eachother 100% it looks awesome but maybe it should be a territory thing instead of straight up killing eachother, usually one animal will back down before death is even *considered!* Gone are the days we could make amazing Disney's dinosaur-esc mixed species herds

@@the4thtomato138 Not if they are in the same family. Hadrosaurs and Ornithos don’t mind, but any armoured/spiked one or Sauropod hates others of similar kind. So you have to maintain a certain ratio, like a bunch of Hadrosaurs, one sauropod species, one ceratopsid species and one Ankylo or Nodo species in the same enclosure. You can’t put any carnivores in such an enclosure, not even compy, because armoured herbivores hate them unlike the last game. This is because any pack hunting small carnivore can kill any herbivore or any carnivore or pterosaur for that matter.

I think in sandbox, you can turn off the herbivores fighting each other setting. So they won’t kill each other but I don’t know if they will still dislike their exhibit or tolerate one another. Edit: You can also turn off dinosaur comfort, so I guess in sandbox it will be alright sort of.

In my opinion Ceratopsids and Ankylosaurids are the coolest because the fights just look better than the large carnivore fights. Especially the clubless Ankylosaurids' ramming attack. Also there needs to be a non-lethal fight settings so Ceratopsids can still have cool fights without getting hurt and killed, if that isn't already a setting.

When Euoplocephalus lost to a PUNY Polacanthus I knew it was unfair. 1. Euoplocephalus was heavily armored with a tail club whereas polacanthus was NOT heavily armored with no tail clubs. 2. HOW CAN 4-5 BASHES FROM A POLCANTHUS KILL A EUOPLOCEPHALUS THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CREATOR 3. How can bashes penetrate the armor of Euoplocephalus? Come on game atleast add some armor or reduce damage to the ankylosaurs!!
