You are correct and Hercules was mortal until his death at the hands of Hera. He then is taken to the celestial Olympus and becomes an immortal. I loved reading about the labours of Hercules as a very young child.

When I was younger, before my grandmother died, she had this little mini computer that you could flip open and put the DVD in and play it. Well, she also had a pouch full of these DVD just like this vid. In fact, this movie was in it. There was Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, etc. This brings back so many memories.
