GREAT shots Craig. The slow mow was really good to see how each hand does something different. It happens so fast that it looks easy, but when someone else does it.. you can tell the experience gap between Terry and them.

I remember my dad making this, and he was the last one at his job to be doing everything by hand. The candy company he worked at was transitioning to machines and automation at the time he had to go into early retirement (he had already been diagnosed with ALS about 6 months before that andhe was struggling to do the job due to his illness) they retired his copper kettle andhad a plaque on the wall for him for awhile, dont know if it's still there since the company was sold

Cream of tartar prevents the sugar from crystalizing. Makes the candy smooth.

A lot of love went into the packaging and the candy.

I'd be way to tempted to write "DO NOT EAT" on the packaging ribbon. Partly as a joke, but also partly serious...

Like a flavor that would be a good addition to hot chocolate along with vanilla or chocolate. I was thinking of those that eat ribbon candy while they drink unsweetened hot tea

You're right, I hate anise, can't stand being near someone eating anise candy or liquorice or anything similar
