You started with two trunks and before you knew it, you had a bunch. That trunk is quite the tool for the elephant. Very interesting. Thank you Owen.

Not sure I've smiled so big while learning anything. 🐘❤️🌍 Jabulani and Lundi seemed to be trying to help Owen! How amazing. Thank you, Owen and love to everyone at HERD. PS That last shot looks like what heaven would be like.

1. This has been one of the most informative tutorials I have seen on THE HERD youtube channel. 2. Jabulani is HUGE! 3. I am surprised that Mambo behaved himself. He is such a cheeky monkey. 4. Losing an elephant trunk? That would be tragic. NEVER show us pictures of this tragic occurrence, thank you very much. 5. The elephant mouth is a highly evolved vegetation processing machine. 6. Thank you Owen!

That was an awesome presentation . I had a giggle thinking if humans greeted each other instead of a handshake. We come up to a friend rumble/purring, and then sticking our noses in each others mouths. Lol Love to all at the homestead

Thank you Owen for sharing this information, very fascinating and what a beautiful trusting relationship you have with these elephants. So important to educate people though such delightful interaction at a time where elephants are widely threatened through our ignorance, disrespect and through many other atrocities they face. Thank you to all at HERD for your continued love and dedication x

Thank you Owen. I just love ❤️ the tutorials you all do. I think it's very interesting that elephants 🐘 are either right handed or left handed. I know that their trunks have many, many muscles. I had no idea that if they lost part of their truck they could still use it. There is an elephant 🐘 at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust who had her trunk in a snare and almost severed it. The vets were able to reattach it but she broke some of the stitches and now has a hole in it and she has had to learn how to adapt with it especially when drinking water 💦. Great video Owen. Thank you for teaching us about the most powerful tool that elephants 🐘 have. Oh I also thought it was funny that you started out with Jabulani 🐘 and Lundi 🐘 and several other elephants 🐘 showed up. They must have smelled the marulas 🤣. ❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘❤️

Does it grow a certain size according to the size of the elephant and when they are babies how much control do they have and how do the muscles develop? It was fascinating that they have a dominant side. That was a great display of how the trunk works Owen!! I really learned a lot! ❤ Thank you for the. Lesson 😄

The information is really good to know. However, poor Owen must be standing in a field of marula or the elephants are all turning into divas!!! My favorite trunk action was watching Jabulani dig in Adine's pockets for marula 🤣😂🤣🥰🥰!❗❗ Also, the way all the elephants checked her out when she had an injury on her leg, they all came to smell her injury (and suggest that she throw some dirt on that instead of whatever that nasty stinky stuff was) 🤣😂🤣
