Thank you, it should be exciting (?!). We have all 9 does due in 2 days, 5 on the same day!! We will be busy to say the least.

Well, I've had goats and kids before, so I carefully inspected your work, Roger. One thing about kids.. If there is any kind of a way to escape, they will find it. But you did a really good job. It was very smart to put the two lowest pretty close together. Well done!

Thanks, Craig. I wanted the lower boards close enough that lambs and kids wouldn't go through. Also close enough that the goats wouldn't stick their heads through and then get stuck with their horns. I've found that 5" seems to be the "magic" width. It seems they can stick their head through 6" gap. I've paid attention to others who have said that if there is a hole anywhere on the property, a goat will find it and go through it. We noticed that when we put the does into the barn and after they were settled initially that all of them looked up at the roof of the barn. I thought to myself, they're looking for a way to scale the walls and escape LOL!
