Yo creo que le faltó meter algún que otro arreglo, pero me parece un trabajo brutal y bien elaborado, si the beatles hubieran hecho los arreglos en la batería y en el bajo, sin duda habria sido una de sus mejores canciones.

@AblyHouse6 жыл бұрын
Neil says he thinks they are d'addarios, but he prefers laballas. I (andrew) agree with laballas being better for 6-string. Pyramids are cool too, but not sure they sound the same as they did in the 60s.

Great performance Neil as ever! Do you have any tips to getting that distinct (what I can best describe as) "slap"/slightly overdriven (?) bass sound for this song? Other covers using both rickenbackers and other brands of bass seem to lack in this area - having a more smooth bass sound.
@robotman5105 Жыл бұрын
The slap specifically comes from the compressor which is basically designed to even out the volume and when you combine that with the relatively higher treble in this bass line, it really pronounces that top end. And the mild tube overdrive is from that mixing desk emulation and whatever tube bass amp Neil is running the Rick through

Brother, this cover its so cool. Tengo que admitir que suena de puta madre tu bajo, sigue trabajando y haciendo covers. Solo tengo una pega, intenta meter más arreglos, esta muy bien, pero le falta la magia que no dio Paul... Better than ringo drums
@JonHop16 ай бұрын
Do you always play with your hand grouped together like that? If so you should really work on your finger dexterity and get that pinky working! Makes things a whole lot easier. I use to play like this when I was young, then my dad forced me to open up my hand and learn proper finger movement. It makes it so you are sliding your hand far less and you can reaching notes without moving your hand. Just less overall movement. But, at the end of the day, if this is how you are happy playing, by all means, play how you want to. I am more just giving some advice on my own experience and what helped me personally. Cheers!

Sorry for the heresy, but this sounds like Chris Squire's bass style.
@MovieMaker191003 жыл бұрын
You wouldn’t call it heresy, per se. It’s just that they had similarities, such as: - They play bass with a pick. - They had the same bass, which is a Rickenbacker. Though, Paul’s more known for his Hofner, he played the Rick on multiple occasions, such as this song and many more.
@fredpearson52043 жыл бұрын
One might just as easily say Chris Squire's bass style sounds like McCartney. ;-)
