DMG system is the biggest problem of this game. Combinations do 0 dmg overall cause overall health mean nothing. You can only do dmg and KO someone if you spam one side of the body.

I'm still hoping they smoothen the animations (i.e. hands down to up in a block position, hunched over to standing upright, etc.). Man it just looks so snappy at times as if there are frames missing in the animation transition, especially with resetting the block. People are on IG commenting things like fight night looks better, and I think this is a big reason why.

Played a Ranked match yesterday at middle weight using Froch and came up against a Platinum dude using Roy Jones. 1 st round, he threw only lead hand body shots. Only got off a few good counters, but his hooks and uppercuts go straight through the block and you can only run for so long. Biggest spammer/exploiter I've come against yet. Completely ruins the game for me.

There still needs to be more of a consequence for just walking straight in. Clean punches, even ones that land on the gloves, can at least slow forward progress. To balance this, aggressive boxers should be able to move their head while moving forward, and I’d still like to see the ability to lean/roll and punch simultaneously.

This game is too flawed to be realistic. If they implemented a vulnerability system a lot of these spams would be handled easily. That backstep straight has no business being that fast. It's faster than every other punch by a mile. What about the body uppercut? It has no business having that much range and being as effective as it is. Stamina and damage is still bad too.

There needs to be a mechanic that if u time your attack correctly ,and hit someone while they are punching, it should count as a counter and do significantly more damage. I'm pretty sure the game doesn't count it as a counter, rather counters are just hitting someone recovering from their own attack. Another problem is Leaning, as a smaller fighter like Frazier vs fury. Even if u know exactly your opponent throws a 1,2. U cannot get in and lean or weave at the right time to make them miss. We should be able to lean while we walk forward or some sort.

Spamming is still a problem, body uppercuts need tweaking, and loose footwork should have an affect on stamina. I don’t play ranked anymore, people will do whatever they have to do to win, including abuse flawed game mechanics. It takes the fun out of it.

What scared me was reading an old comment from a Dev on discord saying they are not trying to cater to casuals but they don't want to "overly cater to the hardcore who play 25 hours a week". Ok? So how far towards sim are we actually leaning? Don't want something 100% but let's stay further towards that than 50/50. Forget 25+ hours? What about us who play 10 hours a week? Casuals are fickle. The semi-hardcore crowd are the backbone of a community. Asked them why certain stats are the way they are and they just say they want fighters to be representative of their real selves. Ok? So what does representative actually mean to the dev team? Why are the first iterations of certain fighters gods?? Without communicating why or what they mean by representative it makes me think they are rating fighters based on how casual fans see dominant champions and icons. As Supermen who are better at everything and that's why they win.

Speaking on counters. I have had fights were I can land 120+ counters and still do not get a knockout or rock. Damage is really bad and random in the game's current state. I also dislike how hard it is to close in on someone as a smaller fighter. Fighters like Joe Frazier feel weak in the current state of the game. As, despite the claims, it is not easy to trap someone on the ropes or in the corner. For as soon as you move to throw a punch or get close to trapping them, they enter loose movement and start walking sideways and you are back to chasing them. I feels like you have to wait for your opinion to act to be able to hit with smaller fighters.

Counters don't actually increase damage very much. Play the AI and see. You can barely tell you're doing extra damage. Same for powershots. The damage formulas are plain weird.

I play Tyson Fury and am ranked 12-1-0 currently in platinum 3. Looking to get better with the character. If people attack the body iv'e found it really diificult to deal with and fighting on the inside in general (Its like i'm too delicate and get rocked easily). Forces me to stay on the outside and jab/power straight their faces off. Ill add in power straights to the body and try to counter often when they get close with jabs and straights. My record is great and beating people with hundreds of fights on their records but still annoying I can barely get 2 knockdowns when ive put some insane hands on them lol

These are fair comments. However a lot of people seem to forget one thing. This is still a game. A game trying to be a boxing simulation but still a game. A young game at that. And a first generation of this sort of game (not the first boxing game but it might as well be for this studio), so this game has no legacy skills that a new UFC game can have. New games have problems, new games have very exploitable situations. Even if we take away these (serious) problems seeing absolute best players in a ranked game that is this young is never going to be top tier gameplay. This is a NEW game. Cheating is a problem, I will give you that. Body uppercuts and spamming is also a problem, but it can still be outmaneuvered. Point of it all is give the devs some time, I personally think too many people are talking way to much shit towards this game. Yes, the cheaters will get fixed, the unbalanced will get balanced, but for fuck sake be patient and if the game really bothers you so much play unranked, play offline. I don't play ranked and I sometimes play online, but even offline I'm having a blast with the game. It will only get better.

Lol some of the complaints people have about this game are just them not understanding. The stamina goes down in power shots when you whiff or if they block it. If you hit them it doesn’t drain as much, it’s the same with regular punches.

What grinds my gears is when these types of players play cheesy hook spamming and shit and I catch them clean with a punch and I don’t get the counter or counter damage I deserve. Also to note sometimes these players can just throw throw throw and if I press the right punch to counter the punch just whiffs as if sugar ray never boxed before. There’s even moments where punches come out in slow motion even though it’s your first punch thrown in a while in a fight. The animations in this game can be so beautiful when everything works but when latency kicks in it’s sad.

I'm going to be realistic I stopped playing ranked after my 2nd fight. There's just way too many broken mechanics and cheats/hacks that are happening in the game for me to even consider playing ranked. Fighting with casuals that have a good sense of boxing has been more enjoyable for me rather than competing for something that doesnt matter at the moment in the game. That's just my personal take away though.

In the same session I went from a counter baiter Leonard, to two Canelo hook spammers in a row. Then, I fought an Ali using Marciano, the dude stopped moving on purpose to taunt and just to prove that there is extreme handicap, so I went straight to punching, but guess what, the AFK animations of Ali dodged all Marciano punches, yeah, the AFK Ali weaved every single punch without even doing the input weaving animation, he has default weaving. The game needs balance, no matter how much tweaking they claim to be doing to animations, tracking, sync, whatever, nothing of that will matter until the stop treatin just 3 boxers like supernatural beings and do something about abusing mechanics. Why am I not allow to stop a hook spam and stun a Canelo, but the moment I decide to make a combo he just throws a normal jab that stuns or even dazes me. I've fought Leonards that just shell, without even trying to defend different parts of the body, just the standard front blocking, but not a single punch lands, head, body, upper, body upper, hook, straight, jab, nothing, sometimes even 20 punches in a row don't land. They really need to start addressin what the users are experiencing instead of putting it aside to meet their desired roadmap.

At the end of the day it’s a game and the game HAS NOT been finalized yet. Even though to you it may not be about winning or losing, but boxing IQ because it is marketed as a boxing simulation… a game can only go so far as engine, mechanics, tech’s, etc. to come close to real life. If you want the real real experience go do boxing. If you want a portion of what real boxing is then be happy you got a game that has this much and slowly improving. In gaming there’s a term called META. Just because someone implements META because it’s working currently and avoids the traditional way of gaming as most people do doesn’t mean they’re the bad guy or wrong guy. To them, the pride of playing a game without exploiting certain things doesn’t convict them as much as it convicts you. My suggestion is to have a separate and private group where players like you can compete. In professional gaming they do that. Such as speed running, any percent completions, etc. They implement rules that are not forced upon from the game and are self imposed “higher standards” for the sake of having more fun and fulfillment. Instead of spotlighting the things you don’t like or don’t want… promote and build a culture and community of people that have the same mindset you do and do private matches with videos. That’s why we have Discord for example.

What is the complaint? Complain about the glitching. Why would you fix the spam when it's obvious he got his record by glitching and not by spamming. You got rid of him easy, which means that spam doesn't work vs good enough players. Literally nothing to tweak gameplay wise. Should Canelos chin get a nerf? I don't think so. Have played this game quite a long time now, and yesterday played FNC. Undisputed looks good, but man.. the way FNC feels and flows it's just something else.. even with all downsides in FNC ( with spammers, old graphics) it still feels way better the undisputed

The lack of impact on the counters is why I skip on some of these videos. Frustrating to watch you consistently counter a guy for what, a flash on the screen?
