I am stired to my core. It is rumoured my great grandfather, a miner, was saved at that revival, and that hymn is so profoundly moving, the Spirit of God, drawing my soul and spirit in love. Oh, the day, the blessed day when I close my eyes on this side, to open them in Jesus presence, then to also meet my great grandfather.

This song was played at my dad's funeral as we walked in behind the coffin and we played this song to dad to bring peace to him whilst he was in the hospice. We thank God that He was there with us all through it all. Such a beautiful version of this hymn.

Yeshua (Jesus) deserves our Praise. I love non merchandised worship to Him. I think the Holy Spirit does too. This is beautiful and He is coming soon. This song version from the songs of praise album recorded at Exeter during 1995 I was only 4 at the time would have love to have been at this event this song is the most emotional and moving song that gets tears in everybody's eyes who listens to it brilliant singer Annie Davis.

Beautiful, and so anointed. My Dad was Welsh and had a Pentecostal church in the valleys. I just feel Father God is, and is going to move in a mighty way over this land. The wells are opening. This is a song my Church used to sing, when we'd be praying for Revival, like in Wales. it's so visual, can see Grace and Love like mighty rivers pouring incessantly from above...in 1717 William Williams wrote it , then William Rees wrote it, i dunno why 2 guys wrote it. i think in 1883, then Cr. William Edwards 1848 - 1929 Translated it from Welsh. Goodness, 3 guys for 1 song! it was worth it. Such a beautiful song, with words that are so Heaven sent. @TeachingTim It was a sovereign movement of God, that's how we normally describe revivals in Wales. God is preeminent - not the Spirit. You're right - the Welsh language is very beautiful, and is used by many of us today as our mother tongue - therefore we respect it greatly.

I was to young for this event I was only 4 years old at the time when I hear Annie Davis voice and that other girls voice I sometimes get a bit moved as well as this is a very powerful hymn and still remains to this day on the songs of worship. I sing this at every Easter or Christmas worship as well it tells the story about how god died on that good Friday morning from Thursday nights awful event of his arrest and morning being brought before Pilate and the high priests.

I have known this recording for a number of years, and have used it in worship services often. The female vocalist has the most amazing voice and the welsh is so lyrical, maybe we will all speak welsh in heaven !

That was not actually her singing they could not have recorded her in 1904-06 in that qaulity, the only thing available then would have been poor quality wax cylinders. There is only one very short wax cylinder of Evan Roberts speaking in existance from that time, and no singing that I'm aware of.
