No lie this is looking good. I see that baby grass popping too. I’m doing something similar but it’s the tail end of summer now (ish). I’ve been having luck with filling in some spots too.

You said you daily water 20+ minutes but that will prompt shallow roots. Water infrequent and deep, one or two times a week with 1 to 1 1/2 inches of water per week

Thank you so much for watching and giving me this feedback! Yeah I have to admit I have over watered my lawn:) lesson learned! Thanks so much again!

That large dead spot looks like a pet urine spot (just maybe not "your" pet). On the smaller spots, test the grass by (not aggressively) pulling on it. If you can pull it out of the ground without effort, it's bugs (roots are eaten). If it's not bugs, pull a plug from that area and see if that area is getting missed from your watering. Those are two quick ways to identify or eliminate two quick problems.

I planted some water saver rtf and it took off in a week and fairly thick. Been in the 80& 90s in my part of Colorado. Planted in late June

5:42 Looks like a burn of some sort. My dog's pee burns my grass like this. It could also be a spot where some product overspilled from your bag or spreader and was too concentrated.

Thanks so much for watching the video this long! I appreciate that! What’s crazy is I saw my neighbors dog near my yard the other day sniffing around like where’s my next move… Geez!! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I would rip out those couple tall weeds. Looks good though, maybe some more soil over where the seed hasnt sprouted yet?
@Dreamhomejourney7Ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Those weeds are actually dead now that ortho stuff worked! I’m trying something new today that should really get those dead spots going!

Sorry, my ocd is saying if they're dead pull them out lol.

@@Dreamhomejourney7 I'd just do what you are doing. After 2-3 mows, you'll never know they were there. Just make sure when using herbicides during the warmest months, check to see if they have temperature requirements. For example, some will say not to spray when it's above 90F. If spraying outside of their temperature window, they can (and usually do) hurt your grass.

Might be low on phosphorous 🤔
@Dreamhomejourney7Ай бұрын
Thank you for watching and commenting! I’m not sure what that is so I’m going to look it up lol! Thanks for the help! I really want to make this yard the best looking yard in the neighborhood!

@@Dreamhomejourney7 no problem, I am new to this. I got my seed ready for late August so just trying to eliminate weeds (just purchased a home) so I know where my bare spots will be. Also, going to do a soil test so I know what my soil is rich in and lacks. Phosphorus I believe helps with root growth and is a micronutrient.
