Had to chuckle seeing the staff behind the counter looking directly at the camera. Too cute! The food containers are next level! I never had Singapore food but looks like you picked some winners! 😋

@@IGetFood You ever consider including a quick Q&A segment of the owners or operators of the places you go to? It’d be fun to watch them tell their story.
@IGetFood7 ай бұрын
I have been kicking around the idea of that - maybe a hot takes segment. I do find some would rather not be on camera but hopefully as I visit these spots over time and develop a relationship with the owners/chefs, it's something I can earn the trust to do with them.

@@IGetFood you shoot these videos so professionally I’m sure when they watch a handful of your reviews they’ll know they’re in great hands! Even your shorts are a treat to watch! But, like you said, in time. Hopefully very soon! The “hot takes” will be a nice addition!

Looking forward to see what Toronto has in store. Do Toronto have a Hainanese Chicken Rice that can match my Favourite Tian Tian at Maxwell?

@@IGetFood do I have to be surprised when I looked at the Price? I live in Toronto, so not a surprise. BUT $6 Chicken Rice in Spore vs $24 in Toronto? And less than $5 Kaya Toast Breakfast set in spore vs $12 in Toronto? That is what happen when you have someone as capable as Canada’s very own Honorable PM Justin Trudeau💩 who leads for 9 years

I've been so curious about Singaporean food. I think Michelle Yeoh visited this establishment recently, no? She did a tour of Malaysian and Singaporean spots while filming in town recently.

Don't be fooled. These are not the traditional Singaporean favor dishes. Hainan chicken rice and nasi lemak are more favor dishes there.
@IGetFood5 ай бұрын
the menu rotates, they do have nasi lemak (I just didn't order it this time) and they do sometimes have the Hainan chicken rice. The owner has said on a number of occasions that when she was living in Singapore, her experience was that the roasted chicken was more popular and the hainan chicken rice. And I'm sure that from a certain perspective, you both might be right. What I can say is, I really enjoyed the food that I ordered and had from Kiss My Pans.

people can see the food. perhaps no need to put it too close to the camera like the camera is the ruler of the universe. People who do make tutorial do that. This is food, and not cosmetics. Nice Video.

Your videos are too long. You need to edit more, make it tighter. Too much meaningless filler. Intro are generally fine, then cut to the food, start eating, tell us the experience. Your writing and delivery is fine.
@IGetFood7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the input, to clarify, you think leaving the intro explaining the theme of the video is fine (usually under 1min) is fine but I should cut the part about what the restaurant is and what it looks like inside and just go straight to the food and eating experience?
@robertblue37957 ай бұрын
@@IGetFood your intro is your differentiator so I'd keep it for now. Try editing your videos to 5 mins. Try it. Got nothing to lose. You should be at 20k subs. Good luck!
@IGetFood7 ай бұрын
@robertblue3795 i have videos down in the 6min range. Not sure the results are any better. Some creators videos go for 20+ minutes and they have huge followings. Granted they started when longer format videos were more widely accepted. I guess some viewers enjoy more context, some want you to get to the point and others just want one minute of dancing with the food 😅
@HowToShopGreen6 ай бұрын
@@robertblue3795 I really do not feel that all food related reviews should be 5 minutes or less. As IGetFood states, some are closer to 20 minutes or longer and I watch them to the end. I guess, if you find IGetFood videos are too long for you then, you need to find a more suitable food reviewer other than IGetFood. I say this because regardless of the length, these videos are time consuming to create and are done with passion by the reviewer and not something you have paid to watch. I would just say thank you for the review especially if you enjoyed the content. Otherwise move on and continue your search for a creator that meets your short format requirements. 😁 IGetFood, keep up the great work! No need to make your reviews shorter. They are fine as far as I am concerned. You cannot be everything to everyone. 😊

appreciate you! Always open to constructive criticism but as you said, I have to find a balance between my creative expression and what the viewers are looking for. Thank you for your support.

u really need to talk less and let the food speak for itself....looks like u are a paid spokesperson and it takes away the validity.....plus u offer no prices for the menu!!!!!
@IGetFood7 ай бұрын
@@sbmedex3421 haha, I wish I was paid. JK, these are my honest thoughts. If I was paid, or invited by the shop to receive free food in exchange for the video, I would have the “paid promotion” tag on the video (which this one, and most of my videos doesn’t). As for the prices, they are in the video - listen for the cash register sound effect, the menu item’s name along with the price pops up in the bottom left corner ex: “tingkat trio | 25”
