Reuniting the director, writer and stars of Forrest Gump, Here is an original film about multiple families and a special place they inhabit. The story travels through generations, capturing the most relatable of human experiences. Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Castaway, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Contact, Back to the Future) directs from a screenplay by Eric Roth (Forrest Gump, Killers of the Flower Moon, Dune, A Star is Born) and him. Told much in the style of the acclaimed graphic novel by Richard McGuire on which it is based, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright star in a tale of love, loss, laughter and life, all of which happen right Here.
Directed by: Robert Zemeckis
Screenplay by: Eric Roth & Robert Zemeckis
Based on the graphic novel by: Richard McGuire
Produced by:
Robert Zemeckis
Jack Rapke
Derek Hogue
Bill Block
Executive Producers:
Jeremy Johns
Andrew Golov
Thom Zadra
Cast:
Tom Hanks
Robin Wright
Paul Bettany
Kelly Reilly
Michelle Dockery
This film is rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association for the following reasons: thematic material, some suggestive material, brief strong language and smoking.
Credits not final.

It's based on a graphic novel (which was in turn based on a shorter comic by the same creator) that did that exact thing. Each panel showed a single point of view, in different times, often with smaller panels overlaid that showed that portion in different years. The comic was also non-linear in nature. I'm curious as to how much of that the movie's actually going to adapt, or whether it'll streamline it a bit more

Everyone keeps talking about the de-aging process, but I’m more compelled by the framing device. Just as I was compelled by the graphic novel it’s based on. It's very hard for creative people to maintain a high-level of quality output. Almost every creative endeavor has a peek and a slow decline into mediocrity. Zemeckis peaked in the 90's and has steadily declined since. Success and comfort are the worst things for creative people. They are no longer desperate and hungry and the take their foot off the pedal.

In the original graphic novel, that the movie is based on, different parts of the house are seen at different points of history concurrently. So a character might be standing in the 1960s version of the room but the TV will look like it's from 1990, and so on.

And then I figured it was some fan-made "movie" trailer stitching shots together from different movies or something---all because I couldn't mentally reconcile Tom Hanks looking so young--so NATURALLY young--with any movie made in the present day. I'm still struggling to wrap my mind around just how good it looks lol.
