fun fact about Centuritron (who I always called "the minicon assault team.) The helicopter member of that team was female, which technically makes her the very first female character in the Transformers Generations line, at least a year or two before Arcee, Windblade, and Chromia

Age of Extinction Hound should’ve been called Bulkhead because of how similar he looks to Prime Bulkhead.

The thing about that is if he was named Bulkhead, people would complain just as much for having just as much in common with Bulkhead as he does Hound, no one gets to win here

it's not that evasion mode prime lacked paint; it's that he uses so much to make the truck mode work over clear plastic that the robot mode suffered for it.

I never got a TLK Hound because I liked AoE Hound's toy too much. Sadly, the combat knife's peg broke off stuck in the chest hole.

Mp Ultra Magnus? All i remember from his release in 2014 was that everyone was complaining about how much of a big janky brick he was compared to all the other mps because of his super restricted articulation. I have nothing against him , he's alright , but I'm just surprised knowing the backlash he got.

I have a few of these Transformers, but Jetfire is one of my very favorites of my entire collection! And I remember buying him at a Target, of all places, when it was still in Canada at the time! A great Autobot to have in any collection!

Great list & nice to see MP-22 Ultra Magnus get love!!! He's still one of my all-time favorite figures because whatever he lacks in robot mode articulation he makes for in everything else. Other things to note beside what you mentioned in your review: He can hold up to 6 figures in his cab (Headmaster size, etc.), he has Mini-con ports on his shoulder tops and the trailer works with Roller (from MP-10).

I have Deluxe Scorn. I got it to represent the Neon Genesis High School students from SSSS.Gridman and in choosing between the Deluxe and the Voyager, I’m pretty glad I went for the Deluxe. Not only does this version feature the symbol on its shoulder that appears on Borr’s jacket, not only does it feature that knife weapon Borr pulls out, it’s just overall a nice toy that I enjoy messing with. I just wish mine didn’t have such loose joints. But that’s what polish is for.

AOTE Scorn is probably the best dinosaur transformer figure ever till this day. It nailed the body proportion of a dinosaur perfectly and the robot mod doesn’t suffer from it at all. Most importantly, the dino mod is slim, the hip region is not wide at all, which is what a real dinosaur should have, way better than other chunky dinosaurs they released.

So I considered making Optimus Exprime number 1 AGAIN this year since I basically made the Go! Autobots the number 1 last year however i will admit that figure can really only become a mid section in the combiner mode. it does have some issues due to being a thriple changer and a combiner. Plus there's another Optimus Prime I'd rather talk about so I'm just going to make him an honorable mention this time and not double up. That said my top ten for 2014 is... 10. Mini-con Assault Team: This was the first time a Mini-con team like this had been made since Energon. They're actually a bit bigger than any Mini-con from the UT but they do have working Mini-con ports. Conceptually I love these guys but they aren't really that great. Heavy Tread, Runway, and Windshear do combine into a Deluxe sized robot, Centuritron but that combined mode does not feel as solid as other Deluxe class figures at the time due to him being made of three smaller robots. Fun figure but doesn't hold together well. I'm still including it just cause I like the figures so much but it's at the bottom of the list for a good reason. 9. AoE Junkheap: I don't know why this figure is in the AoE toy line because he looks like he's based on one of the background robots from Dark of the Moon. Anyway I'm including him because he's basically like a live action version of Animated Wreck-Gar and he looks like he's less hindered by the Power Battler gimmick than other toys in that line. Plus he's not as terrible looking as other movie toys in general. 8. Tankor: Finally got a show accurate Tankor figure. Technically kind of already had one but it was sold as "Tank Drone" and was only a Basic class figure so this is still an upgrade but it would have been a better upgrade if he was a Voyager to match the Rhinox figure they made in Generations. Now where's Jetstorm and Thrust? 7. Rattap: I still think this is a better figure than the Kingdom version we got later because Rattrap is not that small in the show and Kingdom Rattrap more closely matches the size of the original toy than how big he was in the cartoon. This one looks more like the Animation model. He would have been better if they gave us fully painted weapons instead of those weird translucent ones and he didn't have soft plastic parts. I hate that soft rubber plastic. He's also fiddly to transform back into beast mode. Beast to robot is easy but robot to beast is very specific with how everything has to go or it won't fit together properly. 6. Sky-Byte: Yes I had to include the shark guy, of course I'm always going to include aquatic transformers when I see them. He is also kind of fiddly and I'm never quite sure what to do with the kibble on his back. Pictures show it on his back like wings sort of but I usually try to angle it so it looks more like the shoulder armor of the original toy. 5. Predaking: I love Prime Predaking's design, I have this figure, and it's the only one that really properly colors the mold to look accurate to the animation model. The other figures have far too much of the red or used colors that the animation model doesn't even have. 4. Evasion Mode Optimus Prime: This is the first time we got the G1 Truck mode in a live action film and I think it's also the first time we got a G1 colored version before the movie accurate version. His gun also gives you a screen accurate gun for your DotM Megatron if you still had that toy. 3. Arcee: It took us 30 years to finally get a toy of her proper G1 design and I don't know why Hasbro keeps trying to remake it because every attempt since then has been WORSE. You had it right on day 1, you proved you can sell a pink girl toy in a boy's toy line. Move onto other female characters we're still waiting for. *COUGH*Botanica*COUGH* 2. Jetfire: A leader class toy that can look like the toy design or an the cartoon accurate Skyfire face. It also gives several display options for his accessories in both modes. 1. Roadbuster: I am going to be honest here. This a character I am not familiar with. His design does not appeal to me AT ALL. I have never personally owned this figure and if it wasn't for my brother he probably would not even be on the list at all. Just looking at photos of him online does not do him justice. I did get to mess with him a little bit first had because my brother got the figure and it's only once I messed with him in hand that I realized how good this mold actually is. There are weapon mounting points ALL OVER this figure. He comes with 6 different weapons right out of the box so you have a lot of display options already. Plus there are weapons you can get with other figures that would be compatible with this guy. Basic 5mm ports, C-clips, and again there are mounting points all over this thing so you can have him as heavily armed as you want. On top of all that he also comes with optional sticker sheets that have different stickers, the regular Autobot insignia, the Wreckers insignia, a bunch of other things. Basically with the amount of customization that you can do with this figure right out of the box no two Roadbusters would end up looking exactly alike. He's not even a troop builder, he's basically just a customer's dream. No other figure in the Voyager size class has had the amount of options and play features that this dude had right out of the bot and because of that he had to be my number 1. I never would have known how good this figure was if I didn't have in hand experience with it because my brother got one. If you can find one MIB totally worth it. This is one figure I would not recommend used however because if someone else has already stickered it you won't get the proper first hand experience of being able to customize it yourself so I highly recommend buying this MIB.

Only figure on this I have is EM Optimus Prime. So good. Surprised to see Cosmos and Payload here. Cosmos is very good though, I have the Titans Return release. Brainstorm is another figure I want to get at some stage.

Out of the package, Deluxe Scorn's tail is improperly mounted and can fall off. If you line it up correctly however it is possible to mount it securely onto his arm. I would take points off for Hound, only because the left hand on mine broke off. Soft plastic and GPS are a hell of a drug. That said, I agree his accessories made him a lot of fun. Has anybody redecoed the legends Cosmos and his space shuttle buddy into a tiny astro megaship?

AOE Hound was a fun figure but he never felt *quite* right. TLK felt like a step in the right direction but his weapons weren't as fun. Here's hoping we get a Studio Series at some point.
