I’m not a fan of the non m sport steering wheel, removing ambient lighting in the back, hiding the exhaust in the 30, making the moonroof fixed and cannot be opened, removing comfort access on rear and front passenger doors, lowering the height of the car, adding the lights to the turn signal stock like Nissan, making the door handle look less premium! It looks like a cross between an IX and XM! I prefer the previous generation X3 personally! Only advantage of this is the interior camera, belt driven steering, better suspension and interior camera!

They should dial back the ambient lighting. It's like the las Vegas strip in the front. I believe the back has some lighting by the door handle. It doesn't bother me because how often do you have back passengers?
@abpakdeepАй бұрын
Ambient lighting is something personally that I can live without. But comfort access is a problem. To unlock the rear doors with the key in the pocket in the previous generation on grabbing the rear door or front passenger it would open but in the 2025 the front door needs to be unlocked and can unlock all doors so an individual door can be unlocked by itself. Rear seat recline has disappeared four times a year I do family roadtrips, would prefer rear passengers to have the option to recline. All my opinions!

@BeamerView22 күн бұрын
The vehicle should have a valet mode, you could search for it in settings. it also has a valet key but is very annoying to get to, there is a small button on the back side and you have to split open the key fob, once you do there is a key you can take out. You take the key and leave the key fob with them.

So usually when I turn on the steering assist it turns green and if I let go of the steering wheel when steering assist is on the steering wheel starts blinking yellow and the steering wheel icon turns yellow. But today however, when I let go of the steering wheel the steering wheel flashed red and the steering wheel icon was red. And the screen says, "Driving assistance permanently restricted. If recurs check service center." Is there any solution to this?

Check to see if the sensor is clean, I would also make sure your BMW ID is setup. It does seem like a odd message, I would get it checked if it persists. May just be a software glitch. Brand new car so they do come with tiny bugs that get fixed through software updates.

I would be wary of the air vents. They seem very small. Do they cool the cabin adequately on very warm days?
@BeamerViewАй бұрын
I haven't had any issues with it. They seem small but BMW designed them in a nice efficient way.
@trekhardfilmsСағат бұрын
This was one of my biggest concerns as a dog owner and pet sitter. Just bought the car yesterday. The vents in teh front are a long strip. They are thin... but once you get things adjusted the temp of the air is actually pretty dang cold. It doesn't seem to come out in a huge volume, but it was a good volume and I think the cabin would cool down nicely. I tested the back seat one which also had feet coolers and side coolers. If you turn off the side or feet more comes out of the console and it's very cold.

Great video..thanks!…but need some advice. Test drove this new 2025 X3 yesterday, but felt like they’ve’cheapened the car somewhat. If you were in the market for a new X3, would you buy this one or the 2024 model? They still have ‘new’ inventory of those too. Thanks
@BeamerView2 ай бұрын
My brutally honest opinion, I typically do not buy newest model years since they usually use that year to work out the kinks in the car. Getting the 2024 would be the most reliable since its the oldest year in the generation. However if you do like the new tech in the car that would be the only reason I would say go for the 2025.
@paulhenry913Ай бұрын
@@BeamerView That depends. I like the exterior better than the 24, the interior is better if you forget about the cheap door pulls. The car is right sized now - not to big, not to small. Mild hybrid application makes fuel economy on par with my Honda CRV 1.5!. Stiffer stronger body. I managed to get 6k off sticker with incentives which priced the car at or below Toyota crown Signia levels.
@spoiler9112Ай бұрын
The 25 exterior appears more bland and less aggressive. There is too much cost cutting and loss of features that do not outweigh any tech advances. I will list them if you like. The interior of the 24 appears more classy and high quality to me. Additionally, I generally skip first year remodels. I usually jump on the latest and coolest, couldn't justlify it this time. Just got the 2024 M40i.

Door vent control is ridiculous, especially when they do this vs putting ambient lighting in the back of the vehicle. Steering wheel design/look is WTF. Haptic feedback controls are so horrendous for a brand that's always advertised itself as 'Ultimate Driving Machine'. Having glass roof that doesn't open sucks. I really hate to be a Debby downer but I also like to keep things real. BMW has left me on with the current X1 through X3s. I'd have to be ok with going to a bigger vehicle in the X5 or else they've lost my SAV biz for the foreseeable future. A german lux brand has to deliver 'a nice place to be' look/vibe, & then it has to deliver a great driving experience. The only part of the new X1-->X3 I haven't been able to experience is actually driving them but they've already lost me in the looks, features, & cheap materials in places departments
@BeamerViewАй бұрын
Yup the haptic feedback controls near the door vent was my biggest issue too, i've pointed it out to BMW. It looks and feels very cheap but it's meant to feel better when you're sitting inside pushing on it. They made changes to their design team so hopefully things get better!

They just need to leave the X1 M35i alone because this interior & exterior design is NOT the one. Ideally, all they need to do is add heated cup holders, ventilated seats, rear seat LED and include all of this with the ‘BMW X1 M Competition’ but realistically M60i. That is if they still want a future.

@karthikJ-99Ай бұрын
@ atleast you are honest unlike lot of bmw geniuses or sales people who make videos straight up deny the cheapness and say it’s advanced and nice . Idk may be if they bumped the msrp a little bit and gave nicer materials people would have cried initially but this bmw would have dumpstered the glc (granny car) and q5 horrible reliability. But no they took the path of sustainability which is fine they could have used recycled aluminum and plastics to make the vegan seats and door cards but they didn’t . Any luxury car should have comfort access on all 4 doors period . They slowly took it off all their models now . And it’s not really a bmw if you don’t have tail pipes for gas cars . And I want to slap the person who thought cloth is a good material for dash and door tops which smells and collects dust and rain . They should have just give us the sensatech dash or veganza dash . There is a lot of cheap plastic in the car and it feels cheap especially in the door area removing ambient lights in rear doors amd door pockets and rear c pillar which went from leatherette to plastic. The cheapness is so bad they had to save 10$ on the side bolsters on the front seats using cloth instead of leatherette
