Commander’s Palace is legendary. Emeril Lagasse was the executive chef there at one time 👌🏽

There's one thing I think you said earlier. ❤ As far as food goes you have to remember the difference in Taste/Where you are... So this isn't a surprise.😂😊

I think their service, the servers made up for the OK food. I thought they were very attentive and friendly.

I was there this past Saturday night..I’d have to agree. It’s Good but not blown away. But service is top notch. Truly felt amazing with the service.

Why did the pregnant server disappear? It's great to see employers promoting woman in staying financially independent while carrying their child. I hope she is blessed by many and her co-workers when she gives birth to her bundle of joy. Such a blessing!!!

Commanders Palace has been at it along time. They're had decades to polish their act. Black owned restaurants particularly those with fine dining aspirations are relatively new in thos arena. Give them time. I think we will start to see a flourish of great black owned establishments.

LOVE a restaurant that offers an amuse Bouche. First you got me going to Arlington for soy Cowboy, then you got me going to Dallas for Hutchins barbecue now you making me drive to New Orleans for commander’s Palace. I’m glad I’m retired. This is the kind of service that made my heart smile back in my youth. Then I saw you talking to the lady about ma Mou, now I’m definitely going to New Orleans.

I'm surprised they aren't strict about the men having on a jacket/blazer. They used to turn you away or offer one from the spare stock 😂 😂Women had to be COVERED!

Sir, when I finally got into Dooky Chase, I got the same hospitality. When Al Copeland was alive, he did the same thing. There is a lot wrong in my city but I won't live anywhere else.

Darrius as a chef you know it’s hard to compare a place like commanders that’s doing 3-4 hundred covers for lunch to a Mamou who has 13 tables for food quality,like you said go for the history and decent food.
@LATTEREIGND11142 ай бұрын
The Gumbo was thicker because it's New Orleans "OG" true classic cooking with rue base 😋 One can adjust the flavors to satisfy their tastes by adding condiments to experience the pleasantries of this native cuisine specialty. No elsewhere will one have this acquired taste experience.

There are plenty of upscale black owned restaurants. The problem is we have to search high and low because everyone just subconsciously thinks we are low class. Dakar NOLA was a beautiful experience for me. I went because I saw a really nice documentary series by Bon Appetite.
