This part of the meditareean diet. I'm Lebanese and the ingredients you don't care for are heavy with mint, lemon, pine nuts, allspice, Zadar spice thyme, lots if garlic.. These are dynamic flavors which some people are not used to. If you don't like certain flavors because your palate is unaccustomed Ed to it does not mean food is 'bad'. Of course it is possible to have mediocre food from any region. Try a few Lebanese, Syrian, Morrigan and Israeli spots. I think you might enjoy and adapt your palate. Happy eating!!
