I think investors should always put their cash to work, especially In 2025, we'll start to see more market diversification. I'm hoping to invest about $350k of my savings in stocks against next year. Hope to make millions in 2025

Since risk is at an all-time high right now, perhaps you should be a little more patient and return when it has decreased. Alternatively, you can consult a trained financial expert for strategy.

Yes true, I have been in touch with a brokerage Advisor. With an initial starting reserve of $80k, my advisor chooses the entry and exit commands for my portfolio, which has grown to approximately $550k.

When I was calculating my one month fund it was a large number and I started to spiral lol. I decided to break it down by bill or expense first. So this way it was like okay I have one month of electricity, one month of water, etc. Before I knew it I had a full month emergency fund.

For what you pay in rent you could have a house and it would be yours! I have rented in the past several different times and thought I could never afford to buy a house. I was wrong!! To qualify they see how much money you make,and your credit. You could find a cute house. Nothing too big bc then you would have an expensive mortgage. You don't have to put a down payment on the house unless you want to. If the house has been on the market for sale sometimes you can bid less than what the owners are asking ft.Something that would be comfortable for you and your kids. Look into it, it doesn't hurt to try. Look on the internet for houses in the location you would like to live.

I decided to start it in a 32 day notice an literally start with like R5. That way I am no5 stressing about it and I can't access it so easily. It's not the only savings I have now just in case I do have an emergency but now I am at least accumulating something

Most people can barely pay rent. Sadly this just isn't feasible these days unless you make $150,000 annually and have multiple jobs.
@yourfavnurseb9699Ай бұрын
Sometimes it's not how much you make but more so how you spend. Even people at the $150,000+ income struggle d/t spending, debt and a "I can afford the monthly payments" mindset.

A lot of people tell me why want you start driving your car and you know what I tell them? Why when I don't even have an emergency fund because an emergency fund is not $1,000 dollars anymore. When emergency fund was $1,000 that was way back in the 90s now this is 2024 an emergency fund now is $3,500. Why should I invest in car insurance when I haven't even invested in myself first. I also need to save for job loss Incase I loose my job there's a lot of savings I need to start saving for before I make another bill for me. I also need to build up my savings account too.

If this was 1992 $1,000.00 would be enough for an emergency fund, but now in today's world you need $10,000 if you have kids. Now with that said. If you are a woman like me you should have $10,000 because women can become pregnant and have to stop working for 7 months or maybe even a year after the baby is born. For me I will say I am a woman but I have no kids and I live with my mom so I can only save $5,000.00 for my emergency fund because of the fact I am a woman with no kids and does not have real bills. If you are a woman with no kids and live on your own then $7,000 would work for you. If you are a woman with no kids and live on your own in New York you must at least have 15,000 if you live in the hood and California if you live in Compton, Crenshaw Sacramento has at least $16,000. This is for women who live in New York and California who do not have kids and have their own place. The reason why I am generally speaking of single women who have no kids is because I am 38 years old and a woman who has no kids. I hope this was helpful information.

I'm not sure if you're religious (I think you've mentioned God a few times), but how do you navigate your faith in God and finding "security" in being financially stable? How do you avoid making money your idol?
@DyanaMariie8 ай бұрын
Good question, what has helped me was seeing money as a tool. Nothing more nothing less. It is something I need to build a life that I feel aligns with my self-worth. I’m intentional about not doing something that doesn’t align with my values simply because of money. That includes jobs, videos, brand deals etc. When you set aside your morals and values for the sake of money that’s when the idolization begins. Keep these things at the forefront always. Hope this helps!❤

@dorothyevans38644 ай бұрын
While I appreciate the effort, you have some huge flaws in there: 1. How will you - and your cat - eat? 2. How will you put fuel in that car? 3. Do you need to pay for medical expenses? 4. You are calculating a $1k emergency car repair EVERY month, same with the cat 😅 . Maybe revisit listing everything, including the food you and your kitty need every month, multiply by 3 and only then add in any liabilities. Adulting is hard - I’ve been at it for many decades and it still catches me out now and then - so well done on getting ahead of things so early.
