The ideal situation would be to find a way for the A's to build their waterfront stadium which would preserve the Bay bridge series and grant LV a bonifide expansion team that they can really get behind on their own terms. Manfred was complicit in interfering with Oakland's negotiations by prematurely suggesting that he would waive the relocation fee which put the city at a disadvantage. MLB needs to fix this because there will be damaging repercussions in regards to fans in the East Bay & Northern California. Keep the faith and keep fighting (Oakland) A's fans!

MLB approved this without ANY plans put together whatsoever, financial or architectural. And Rob Manfred's hostililty and disregard for the Oakland fanbase should disgust all baseball fans. The Yankees ownership could have used their weight and swayed 7 no votes, and probably force John Fisher to sell the team to a competent owner, ridding the game of this parasite

I think if they move anywhere, it will be SLC. They've already said that they want the A's, and I think they would make it worth the A's while to move there temporarily -- or longer. It's fairly obvious that Vegas is "meh" about the A's and might not put up such a fight if SLC started "puttin' on the moves" for the A's.

I could see it honestly. Plus, SLC is much less likely than Vegas to get an expansion team so they may be willing to put up with Fisher and his crap.
