Pentatonic scales can be a miserable and boring place for a guitarist to be stuck. Yet it’s just instinctive for our hands to drift exactly into the pentatonic scale position.
There’s no point trying to beat human nature on this one…
So instead, I’m showing you the exact notes you can add on to the pentatonic scales to unlock pro sounding guitar solos.

Eddie!!! Wow! Such useful information man! Your statement about giving blues solos a “more mature sound” is spot on. It opens up three zones to spice up my solos that I never saw anyone else teach before. I’m not much into learning music theory (maybe I should be) so this is just what I needed.
