This was really nice. Thanks. I've been trying to teach myself for the past 3 years. Using various internet resources. It's hard to do. There's a lot out there that can distract you from the basics. Rootless voicings! 10 licks that will make you sound like a bebop master! Master Walking Bass! The top 10 jazz standards for beginners! The Barry Harris system! I like the simple message here and the advice to trust yourself.
