With Eco mode and Dauto regen, I get 2.7 m/kWhr @ 80mph with my EQS SUV. I love the MB battery management.

One note on the timing of the handshake: When you first heard contactors click (and stopped the timer), the car wasn't charging yet. Only on the second set of clicks, when the light turns blue, is the car actually accepting a charge. So, it probably cost the car about 35-45 seconds of charge, I'm guessing it could have scored another kWh or so of actual charge time for the test.

I think you turned AC off when charging. I thought the procedure was to have it on as it simulates a roadtrip.

No climate control in this test. Not that it would make a huge difference but when a car already doesn't charge great it could mean a few extra minutes to get to the same soc.

I’m surprised at the efficiency (2.2 miles/kWh). Our EQS, at 80 miles/hr, gets 2.5 miles/kWh.
