I love all of the scroll but the silver birches in particular really appeal to me. Your comments about turning mistakes into something else have given me the confidence to begin a slow stitch project. I've rarely done any embroidery before and mostly from kits given to me. You always feel they have to be perfect, like the picture on the front. This scroll is a joy.

It's absolutely stunning, been watching how you created it. I've been doing a nature scroll too. I now use up any leftover thread on my needle with seed stitche's or French knots to fill in areas. Love your under the sea scroll too, they're stunning, thousands of stitches like you say. Your sketches are good too, watching all your videos.

This garden scroll is how I found your channel. It is beautiful! I immediately watched the series and am glad you showed it completed. I truly have never seen anything like it. I saw in your other videos that you are very creative in lots of ways besides embroidery. One thing I am looking into is using beads in embroidery. I saw that you did use them in your dragonfly wings. If you ever want to make a video about using beads in our stitching I would be interested. Thank you for sharing your talents!

Thank you so much. I actually didn’t use any beads. I find that my threads get caught in any things that stick out. That’s why I don’t use pins either. The shiny bits in the dragonfly are from metallic knitting yarn that I pulled apart and stitched onto the cloth.

Not that I'd ever try to recreate your beautiful scroll but there are parts I'd love to see better/closer up and hear a description of how it was accomplished or recreated by you. i.e. the dragon fly, one of the roofs, there are numerous things! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. Sorry to hear your current piece is not inspiring you. I find when that happens if I put it aside for a while, I can look at the piece with fresh eyes in a few months. I have several other pieces on my channel, like the year long underwater scroll that I've just wrapped up. Also I'm about to start a new long term project. My most recent video is a bit of a teaser. Your scroll is amazing and it inspired me to try making one. I’m just getting back into embroidery after many years away from it. I do wonder though, if you ever sew a backing material on the back of a scroll, just to cover up the knots and messy threads? Oh, and thank you for showing how you do certain stitches! I’ve forgotten so many of them.

Thank you. The garden scroll that I made was insanely long. I don't recommend doing something like that. It took sooo much time. I haven't measured it, but I think it was about 8ft long (close to 2 1/2 metres). You can absolutely do it. There's nothing complicated and none of my stitches are "perfect". Thanks, I don't know the actual length or width. The strip of cloth that I used came this way and the size was not important. It's probably a few inches (5cm ish) high, maybe, and very very long (taller than me if I hold it up).
