How to slow stitch a garden | Part 1 running stitch and straight stitch

I'm making this series to supplement a live botanical embroidery workshop that I'm giving. I thought it would be helpful for people to refer back to something after the workshop. Maybe other people will find it useful too. There will likely be 5 videos in this series. This first one introduces some very simple stitches for absolute beginners

Awww, thank you. I'm in Canada, and my class info is variably accessible. I don't like doing the "admin" stuff, so I leave that up to whatever group is paying me to offer the class. Some groups are better than others at promotion

Wow, thank you! Talent is mainly practice. There's nothing complicated about what I do - simple "beginner" stitches, no planning, just making one decision at a time and believing that it will all work out - that part takes practice too.

Thank you. That’s interesting, I’ve never really enjoyed using a sewing machine. It was something that I endured to get the result that I wanted. Now I sew clothes by hand. When I stopped trying to rush to the end. I realized how much I like sitting with a needle and thread.
