Unfortunately this TX only holds up to 6 people (2nd row captains chairs, 3rd row only holds 2 people.)

Have u sit on the 3rd row? I did, fit 3 easily, not cramped like the Audi Q7, not huge like the Eslacade, in the middle, above average i would say

Agree I would have preferred a MDX type bench in the second row. MDX gives you that option to install 3 child seats in the second row as it has one of the best bench setup in the second row.

Lexus’s biggest mistakes (IMHO) are making a family hybrid that cannot seat the entire family! And dropping the HVAc buttons on the dash in favor of a Tesla-like screen control… They could still have the captain’s chairs, while offering a stowable middle seat. That makes the vehicle far more family friendly, for families that want a minivan in an SUV format. Now why would you want to bake your most crucial comfort feature () into your infotainment system??? If it should ever break down, it could cost a pretty penny to replace. Not to mention having to drive in the cold or the heat for some time before the fix… Otherwise, a very handsome family vehicle.

It seats 7 not all tx’s have captain seats i have a7 seater tx

One thing I am wondering about is if this has a "room" mode where HVAC works over an extended period of time with the other functions of the car being off. It may make a great camping vehicle with all that cargo space if it did. Also, can the 120V 1500W outlet be used when the car is off, or in a way that it would cycle the gas engine on and off to keep the battery sufficiently charged. If so it would make a great generator to power a backup home window AC etc when the home power is out.

Either this vehicle or the Toyota Grand Highlander with the Hybrid Max drivetrain. That drivetrain gives you 362 net combined hp.

Love the space for 3rd row passengers, but the interior is so bland. Definitely not your usual Lexus feeling. Also, LEXUS, my god can you please release some more exterior color options! Blue is the only interesting color available. Need to have the same color options as the new GX. Not everyone wants black, silver, or grey.

I really wish they didn't make this a six passenger vehicle. Those second row captains chairs really limit its appeal to me as a family car. Also not a fan of 22 inch wheels on this. Maybe a slight handling boost but at the expensive of worse ride and durability and greater replacement cost. 20 inch is plenty big.

In all sincerity, Be sure to go look at the Lexus TX before buying the Tahoe. We felt the same way as we didn’t want a van, wanted the feel of an SUV. Looked at the Tahoe and Lexus TX and there was no comparison. The TX doesn’t feel like a van. And the video is right about third row seating. That was one of the things we were looking for and it’s comfortable for an average adult. Good luck!
