Honestly Cisco and wells were my 2 favorite characters. And I'm probably going tibstoo watching the show after season 7. And I understand why the actors want to leave that's totally fair. But it's the fact that the rest of the characters are written so poorly to the point of being really annoying or just unlikable makes those 2 leaving even worse. I think this is the perfect opportunity to make Barry(Grant) finally become a more comic accurate solo hero. The guy S1 Thawne kept comparing him to. It would also give the show a chance to step away from the cringey pep talks. I think Iris and joe would have to stay recurring but as for the other characters maybe they show up every once in a while. Star labs is unnecessary for such a small team, he could still have a “lair” but maybe scale it down to a size similar to the arrow cave. All the tech team flash uses is ridiculous, really he only needs Gideon, the flash is one of the most op characters and the show has kind of scuffed it Look at the current events Barry and iris are trying for kids and maybe they have a bit of bad luck and at the end of this season they finally get pregnant, then next season the show picks up straight after instead of a six month gap and in season 8’s finale the twins are born. The twins birth could be the final scene and I think it would end the show on a good note, but season 8’s villain has to be reverse flash no question about it.

GUYSS! They aren’t leaving entirely, they are just leaving as series regulars, meaning they’ll be in select episodes. They will leave the show for a while, but they will always come back, Tom Cavanagh already left as a series regular back in season 7 episode 1, and he came back again as timeless Wells, because Tom isn’t a series regular anymore, they will come back in select episodes, Carlos Valdez will come back in select episodes

Well judging by all the shows that got cancelled and actors leaving, it’s getting closer and closer to the end of the era of the original arrowverse. When cisco’s fear was revealed that he saw himself 30yrs into the future possibly still working at star labs while everyone else moved on, i think it’s a parallel for real life for carlos and the original cast. This version of the flash show can’t be going on forever because the actors will want to move on eventually into other projects. And i know carlos definitly would want to because he’s in his 30’s and the main credit for his acting career is cisco ramone. I don’t blame him for taking the opportunity to venture out while he has the chance to because he’s still young and have more he can build in with his talents. I honestly would love to see carlos in different projects because i’m curious of how far he can take his acting alone.

I doubt it’ll go that long. Carlos and Tom left, no one else except for Grant has signed for Season 8 so most likely S8 will be the end. It would be cool to end in 2024 because the original timeline in Season 1 said that the Flash disappears in 2024 but it won’t last that long. Arrow ended in 2020, Supergirl is ending in 2021 December, so Flash will probably end in 2022.

Candice Patton is the real reason, she has been steam rolling over everyone from the writers, demanding Iris be made the central character of the show resulting in badly written versions of the comic stories such as literal Forces of Nature that originally existed from the start of the multiverse suddenly being her "children" or Barry only having access to certain abilities if he is being subservient to her wishes( they try to call it "being on the same page" but it is exclusively her "page" he has to "get on"), to the other actors/actresses, insisting they "make room" for her expanded role, and all with the threat of being labeled "toxic/misogynistic/racist" if they don't go along with her demands. Actors have been doing this for years, leaving a show that made their careers and they never do anything else that even gets close to what they are known for. Actors take on more than one project all the time as long as the timelines don’t interfere. I do not think actors should leave should leave a successful show that has made them a success unless there is an offer they cannot refuse. I think the flash and most of the CW shows have all run their courses inclined the flash. I do think the flash should cancel after next season, especially with two main characters leaving. If this is true, then tom and Carlos should have stayed the course for two years and then when it ends, they would have a lot more time on their hands.

In this case, I feel more like they are tired of the trash writing and want to bail. I mean the S6 (ik it's in S7, but it was meant for S6) Nash Wells sacrifice felt like an ending to the era (yes I am going to ignore that power of love forces crap storyline). Reverse-Flash could still look like him, but the Wells would give it all up to keep The Flash as a hero (and thus kid flash, other flashes like Wally West, etc going). And I have a feeling Cisco(Carlos Valdes) was throwing out warnings as he seemed phased out despite appearing plenty in S6 still. I wouldn't have blamed anyone if they'd bailed after S5, even though I ended up liking Season 6 (though it's my least favorite in terms of seasons I don't hate like S5 and S7).

The wiring for most of the CW shows has gone to crap and quite frankly boring. I’m enjoying the latest supergirl arc, but like the flash it’s feeling like it’s run it’s course. Then you have Legends where the cast keeps changing and the story line for me has become so far to follow and outrageous at times I stopped watching! The CW just doesn’t have the funding to really do their shows justice! On a positive note I am enjoying Superman and Lois series as it feels new and fresh! Legacies is another show I enjoy, but I am sick of the Malavor arc and just want some of the original vimoire diary characters to return!

I stopped watching I think sometime around when they kicked off Hartley Sawyer for 7-year-old tweets that meant absolutely nothing. I have 2 main thoughts 1: I would argue that Chester is already set up to not replace but fill Cisco’s roll. 2: One of two things needs to happen. Either they need to keep going past season 8 or need to approach Tom and Carlos and say look Season 8 is the last we just need you both for the later half of the season to not just give you and every main character a proper send off but also give the show a proper send off because that is what’s at stake here. The end of the show can’t just have these two in the last episode to give everyone who’s worked on it and everyone who’s watched it and loved it as we have the end it deserves. Thank you this has been my rant. Side note: I want reverse flash front and center as the villain for the last season of The Flash. You would have to kinda throw out the Godspeed villain story mostly.

Personally I think season 3 started the show’s downfall with the whole stupid Savitar being a speed force clone of Barry from the future. It was such an unnecessarily convoluted way to make the villain be an alternate version of Barry.

You can be damn well sure they are leaving to explore new avenues whilst their contracts are up due to the consistently dropping viewership and ratings. Not to be overly negative but it's good to know when to bounce. Such a shame though Tom and Carlos became such integral characters to the shown imo. Truly and end of an era!

matt letscher's Reverse Flash is so underrated & underutilised. They should bring him back & explore Eobards backstory & transformation into The Reverse Flash in flashbacks of Eobard's past, which is our future.

I mean, it pretty much is. No greenlighting of an arrow spin-off with Mia as lead, nothing in sight about anything past one more season of the Flash. Canceled Black Lightning. Supergirl ends after S6. I seriously have no idea how legends or batwoman are still on tbh, the former cause they stopped trying after S3 entirely and the latter went from kinda bad to probably worst super-hero tv show ever.
