I sadly got to see Lee Evans only once live, he retired a little while ago😭 he was torn apart with nerves every time he went on stage, one of the reasons he was almost constantly soaked in sweat and along with missing his family terribly when touring or away filming he decided he to pack it all in. A really lovable guy who put his family first👍🙌

I have seen lee evans twice and met him after a performance. He said “ there’s something about Mary” was one of worst things he did in his life, I watched that as a child found him funny and met my husband as a teen and watched his stand up. We can so relate to this. It’s hilarious. A lot of people in Britain loved his stand up but unfortunately he stopped for personal reasons. I’m glad I got to meet him before his last tour.

I find it astonishing how you have only now come across the legend Lee Evans. The Godfather of stand up Comedy. Now just recently retired but has been going since the early 90s. He is a Superstar in the UK. Funny how you mention about he should be in Movies because he has been in some big Hollywood films, such has Something about Mary, Fifth Element, Mousetrap and a few others, also played a Serial Killer in a BBC drama and absolutely nailed it. Ask anyone in the UK who there top 3 Stand Up Comedians are and 99% will him mentioned. It doesn't matter what clip you do, they are all energetically funny Please do some more Lee Evans.

There was a character much like him long ago played by Norman Wisdom in a few films... It might be worth watching a few if you don't mind black & white films... He did do later films the first colour film with Pitkin as his character was *The Early Bird* a 1965 British comedy film directed by Robert Asher and starring Norman Wisdom. It also features Edward Chapman, Bryan Pringle, Richard Vernon, John Le Mesurier and Jerry Desmonde. It was the first Norman Wisdom film to be shot in colour. The title is taken from the expression "the early bird catches the worm".

I remember hearing somewhere that the wedding march, and funeral dirge are one and the same. the only thing I could find was that the dirge predates the march (Chopin composed the dirge in about 1830, and Felix Mendelssohn [German] the march for his rendition of William Shakespeare's 'A Midnight Summers Dream's in 1842). I'm wondering if this is true.

To be fair he has done some better routines but the main thing is the animation he brings to the show. He always sweats profusely, because of his intense activity, but rather than try to hide it, it has become a trademark of his.

Some women cake themselves in make up and look like a totally different woman when they take it off. It's like your are going outi with two different women with the same personality. I think women always look better when they put on just enough make up to compliment their features and if they have a natural beauty about them it will always show through. It's not always and only about beauty, but you don't want go out with a beauty queen, only to find out later that she's a trog.
