That's not the biggest issue. Wranglers are already heavy and unaerodynamic as shit, at over 4.3K lbs for some trims and a drag coefficient of .50 (no, that's not a lie, google it). Tacking on even more shit is going to add even more weight and make it even more unaerodynamic, so enjoy the whistling sound of that light bar at 70mph.

I'm glad you said "bolt-ons" in your description, because that's all they are. Back in the day Jeepers had to modify/weld/create things to make their Jeep unique. Now it's just pay up and bolt on (and usually just bolt on whatever is trending [like the light-brow]).

@RIPPER3347 жыл бұрын
Chris W. You don't know the ridiculous resale value of Jeep Wranglers. For several years, Jeep has been bouncing between the top 3 spots for KBB's (and NADA's) highest resale title... with a average predicted depreciation of only around 30% over 5 years. I just sold an 06 Rubicon with 79,000 miles for $18,000... which was only 7k less than I paid for it new- or almost 75% of its original cost... 11 years ago... Its true, you'll never get all of your money back on aftermarket add-ons... on ANY vehicle... but an "upgraded" year and a half old Jeep wrangler, will still easily bring better than 45k, and probably break 50 on a dealers lot...
@coejbee7 жыл бұрын
+Chris W. While the Wrangler has one of the highest resale values in the U.S., I kind of agree with you, as the mods you put on really don't hold their value at all. Sure, there are people uneducated to how resale works, or the true price of the Jeep's mods, who will pay top dollar because "Wow it looks cool" (the same type of people that would buy a brand new lifted JKU Sport for 50K with 4k of mods to it, off a dealer lot) but overall you're better off returning the Jeep stock and selling the aftermarket parts separately. Hell, even a dealer will practically penalize you for the mods during trade-in, but then turn around and over price the Jeep once its on the lot.
@HoosierRooster7 жыл бұрын
Chris W. If you saw this Jeep at Barrett-Jackson you could buy it for about 15 k
@CaptainDawg026 жыл бұрын
Most people don't sell Jeeps to dealerships...it's not a big "trade-in" type of vehicle. You can buy new & stock Jeeps for $5K more than a 4 year old stock Jeep with 60K miles on it. The resale value is insane with or without modifications. Now that the 2007-2017 JK line is ending, those Jeeps are going up in value.
@numetheus6 жыл бұрын
I don’t think you know anything about the resale value of Jeeps. Especially if they have been modified.

Why are people trying to defend this jeep. Do they not realise what $21k could really do to a jeep. You should be able to get a higher, better equipped lift;3/4 or 1 ton axles; bigger, higher quality, name brand wheels/tires; a fuckin nav system; better bumpers/ better fender flares. $21k can do so much more than this. And everyone should be able to instal everything besides the lift/axles(but if you had any amount of tools, you could do everything)

So you've got some 65 grand worth of vehicle and you still can't tow more than 3500 pounds.
@DarkDroidOSRS6 жыл бұрын
Gear ratio, your truck is meant to have a higher gear ratio, majority of jeeps have a a very low, 321, 373 or the rubi with 410. Also the engines don't output enough power you'll be putting more stress on components anything higher than 3000 lbs sometimes 2000 is close. Depends on ratio and other compnents. Your truck was built to tow. Heavy duty axles, bigger gears, more torque. Before you wanna start a pissing match go read up on your vehicles.
@DarkDroidOSRS6 жыл бұрын
If you want to tow toys then you have to have the capability to do so. You want to do both then your gonna have to drive the jeep there and then have someone else drive the trailer full of stuff.
@DarkDroidOSRS6 жыл бұрын

I don't even know what kind of point you are trying to make. First you completely disagree with me, then you lay some knowledge too support my previous statement. The modifications doesn’t really match the price told in the video. On the body these medications aren’t really any good for off-road, from the weeks and tires to the funny top. I think the most expensive things was the paint, beyond that is just a nice try
