It's the eyes, they removed the anime filter and gave them normal sized eyes. Pilar and Maine got their eyes covered so they "look" a lot more like their anime counterparts.

But they scrapped it because the story would've been too linear. If that's true, then these models would've actually been in the game.

Lucy looks good to me (her last name, Kushinada, makes me assume she's Japanese-American so they likely drew her eyes a bit more slender than in the show to match that) as well as Maine, since a dude that massive tends to stand out. Rebecca looks outlandish for sure, but I feel like that's the point, with her look being so modified from what she originally would've looked like without any chrome or modification.

Its because they arent anime loli/waifu anymore, instead they look like as if they were real women, for me, they look realistic and exactly as any asian woman like Lucy would look like, I also like Rebecca, but the fact that they dont look anime anymore and dont fit the aesthetic anime standard that fans like, doesnt mean their realistic interpretation is bad, actually, its awesome, maybe it is a letdown for some fans that they arent thicc or more anime, but their designs are very well done.

The only thing I don't like about David's jacket is that the white stripes are not in the correct place. And as in the Anime, his jacket is seen with no logos or the strap on his right arm or the emergency on the back of the hood.

David did alter the jacket after his mother died and he joined Maine's crew full time. It had the patch and logo on the collar since it was her work jacket. It's also possible the artist was given the wrong ref shots so he drew the wrong version.
