These jackass pranks have been going on for decades, kids just want to get out of going to class half the time. 25 years ago kids were making these threats from payphones. The difference today is that you will be tracked and prosecuted because you're dumb enough to use your own cell phone in the act. I’m not saying don’t arrest them but you also have to put them in a program to help them with whatever problems they are having at home. And potentially remove them from home. Catholic charities would be a great way to help and bring these people to God.

When I was a kid it was mostly kids pulling fire alarms. Grade school all the way through COLLEGE for crissakes, sadly enough. Bomb threats were fairly rare. And phone booths were VERY common prior to the early 80's (re easy not to get caught).

Yes, the threats need to be taken seriously. But the state needs to do better job as to who gets to have a gun, like background check, red flag laws n wait periods. Not everyone will make a threat before they commit a crime. Others have purchased gun and committed crime on the same day.
