How long does it take to charge using the 4 different ways?
@storychasing
@storychasing 2 жыл бұрын
If you charged with all 4 solar panels then it would take approximately 5 hours from 0% to 100% per Jackery. With 2 solar panels like I have it's ~10 hours. AC Adapter plugged into shore power or your RV AC power would charge fully in ~6 hours. 12V Car Adapter plugged into cigarette light port (12v port) is ~13 hours. It's pretty impressive.

I recently bought a Jackery during a power outage during a winter storm and was able to keep my fan running on my fireplace insert and kept the house warm. I only knew about the Jackery because of you. I have taken it camping this summer and it has been such a great addition.

Great info and update. I purchased a Jackery 1500 after the video you did earlier (thanks for that earlier video too) -- I don't use it very often but when I need to I absolutely NEED it and it works SOOOO well. In the end, for me, completely worth it. Before I got on the road so much I didn't realize how much I might need it but I absolutely do. I could not afford a Travato with lithium so having the Jackery makes a real difference for me. I've heard that I might be able to trickle charge my house batteries off it although I haven't tried it -- I will soon! Also I wish I had had it when we didn't have power at our house for 4 days! 1

Reeeally great video thank you! I just bought a Jackery 500 with a 100 watt solar panel and charged it up over our sunny week. It took awhile to charge but I’m new to this so wasn’t sure what to expect. I don’t mind the handle but like your idea. I like that I can easily carry it and the solar panel. I retire next January and hope to attend the WRTR and the RTR to learn more. Your video came at a perfect time for me thank you so much.

Great job Amber! This is the most HONEST jackery video that I've seen thus far. I do not have a jackery yet. I only have an Amazon brand power station 250W. It does have a handle that swings behind to keep it flat and easy to store. A stowage jackery handle sounds interesting. Also a super long cord sounds reasonable too. I would not like my expensive power station getting stolen, rained/ snowed on or full of dust. VERY Good points! Jackery should post your videos review as an objective review. I do believe their durability may be top notch. So far, I only camp with my travel trailer in established campgrounds. I am in need of someone to install solar panels on my travel trailer. Please let me know if you know of someone in this area that can help?

I have the Jackery 1000. I have had it for over two years and it is my primary source of power, especially when boon docking. The power station is fine, however, the solar panels are not that great. In less than a year and about 100 days of full use, I had to replace the solar panels. They just stopped working. More importantly, the panels (both sets) have never drawn 100 watts (per panel) as indicated on the panels. At best they pull 70 watts each for a combined 140 watts. Typically, on optimal days they are only pulling 132 watts combined. Your video should address the cost of the Jackery power station and panels. Even if it is cheaper than installing a power system in a van, the product is still very expensive. Or maybe you didn’t have to pay for your power station and panels?
@storychasing
@storychasing 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your experience feedback. Jackery has upgraded their solar panels and are a huge improvement over the old ones. Even they are 100 watts each sometimes they don’t always get 100 depending on direction of sun, clouds etc. On a full sunny day and pointing the panels at the sun I can generally get almost the max out of them. But that’s solar panels in general. Even the ones in my roof are that way that aren’t Jackery brand panels. My system I installed before was $13,000 and not even lithium batteries. So Jackery is so much cheaper than that, it’s portable, and lithium.

Thank you. Bluetti is one of the companies that sent their batteries to me to test and review. I'm not sure which one you used, but I wasn't impressed when I compared it to Jackery. The one they gave me is several years old so some things could have changed, but charge time seemed slow, the battery smelled like burning plastic every time you charged it, the DC power plug burned out within 1 month, the AC adapter plug cord was so short so it was always difficult to charge in the van without tripping, and it was very noisy with its fans. Which one do you have?

@@storychasing I have the AC200P 2000W/2000Wh and i have the AC50S 300W/500wh....Both with almost 3 times the life cycles as the comparable Jackery ....I have had none of the problems you describe...I use the small one to power a portable fridge in the RV for our dogs food because silly me, i cook for her, and also use it at nite to power an electric blanket for the wife when not hooked up to power...The bigger one i use at home for power outages and such....

I have a EB70 and I like the way the handle folds down, but being in wind out in Arizona sometimes have to scrape out sand and tiny rocks to get the handle down. And the DC outlet fits loosely which I use for my frig. Which I have no problem with the van or other power supply DC outlets. Other than that it's done ok.

@@debbiejohnson5550 Have been thinking about that EB70 to replace my smaller one i use in the RV...More watts and wh's....Although its just a want, not a need as that smaller one i have serves the needs....

@@storychasing I have the jackery 1000. Takes forever to charge no matter what method I use. The 1st set of solar panels died on me without warning or reason. Customer service was difficult to deal with. They had me create a video and upload it to google drive to prove the malfunction. Good luck to those who are not video and internet savvy such as older users. If I had it to do over I’d either build a solar system in my rig with individual components or go with a different company.

Hi Amber! I am a new subscriber and you are wonderful....enjoying your videos! I don't think you use the Jackery to power up your induction cooking set, but what happens if you tried to? Would you get enough juice or not? Thanks for testing for me! :o)

Piano Girl Thank you very much! 😊🙏 Welcome!!! Oh yes, I have used it to power my induction cook top for sure, buttttt it can suck power fast and I have a propane stove top so I'd rather use the propane since it uses less energy. But in a pinch, you definitely could. If you see the video I did last year with a load test on with some items and the induction cook top you'll see how many watts it uses. It really depends on how high you set the stovetop: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnjEqZyjft6fqqc

I would love a Jackery! Someday. I do have a favor. Could you email me or DM with the name/phone number of your mechanic. I have a Travato which is on a Ram Promaster 3500. I have an electrical problem somewhere. It keeps blowing my 100amp mega fuse on the battery (stranding me) and I can’t find anyone who can figure it out. Thank You.

Why do think that’s the case? I have a Bluetti and haven’t experienced that. It was a sponsored battery too. How many watts do you have? Mine is a 700.

@@storychasing Bluetti solar generators average a 4.4x longer battery life (to 80% capacity) over Jackery models. This is because Bluetti uses LiFePO4 batteries for their products while Jackery uses lithium-ion batteries. I have two Bluetti’s: EB55 and EB150. I use the EB55 to power my Starlink and while on the road, my Dometic CFX3 refrig/freezer. The EB150 has been used when dry camping to power the dish receiver and tv at night since generator use is not allowed after 8 pm in some locations.
