Drive awareness. Paid ads. Put the name out there and have all of the information about it on specific posts/pages of your site. So when people see it out there for the first time, they will Google you and find your content.

You should start by creating social media accounts :) A Facebook or KZbin account would be a great idea and then posting your videos.

To be honest, that is a really bad advice for those people who have a huge passion to solve problems today. You don't need that kind of experience in order to build something people want, only working in small startup helps a lot. Your main goal today should be to find a product-market fit, if you are capable of doing this, other things will be the way easier. Quick workaround: build mentorship network around yourself.

Hey Neil - great advice and inspiring. Only discovered your valuable video/podcast and website about being an entrepreneur. I am inspired!!! I am writing to you from South Africa specifically from a town called Jeffreys Bay (Google Jeffreys Bay if you have time to check it out) which is world famous for surfing and a national and international tourist destination. I have been in the media industry (print and now digital/graphic design/photography/journalism, etc) for 30 years and are looking at starting my own print and online tourism and sports publications (magazine/newspaper/social media/Wordpress, etc.) The Tourism sector which Jeffreys Bay falls within (Kouga region) are being marketed but not to an extent that there are any excellent websites or publications that highlight available tourism activities/attractions for the region. I believe there are a gap in the market to create tourism content (KZbin Channel/ Facebook/Instagram) for marketing to potential national and international tourists who might visit our Tourism Route. Once I have this digital platforms up and working then I will contact the tourism operators in the region to advertise (accommodation establishments, adventure companies, restaurants, touring companies, etc.). Content will relate to features about these businesses services and products they can offer to potential visitors. Once they are on board as advertisers then I would look at publishing a quarterly tourism glossy magazine where they can also advertise their services and products as well. My advertising offering will be maybe two packages for advertising only online or online and print. The magazine would be distributed throughout (nationally) South Africa at all tourism hotspots (airports, tourism offices, tourism indabas (marketing events), etc. What do you think? I would focus on creating text-based, long-form articles targeting the keywords tourists search for when traveling in South Africa. Most people to go to Google when planning a trip, not social media, because they want in-depth information. If you can dominate search for the important keywords with high search volume in those areas, you will do well :)
