I can answer that very first question firsthand. I’ve been sick all my life, I’m currently 54, but when I was 20 I was finally diagnosed with severe stage 4 Crohn’s disease, hospitalized for months, unable to keep any food in my stomach, being fed via IV nutrition, six months later, my entire large, intestine ruptured. They knew it was going to happen, but I was terrified and had just turned 21, and therefore kept refusing to have surgery out of fear. I could kick myself for being so stupid, but at the same time, Everything happens for a reason, and my refusal led to the most incredible experience I’ve ever had. They were doing abdominal x-rays every three hours because I was so distended, it actually happened while I was on the x-ray table, and they caught it on film. I was rushed to the OR but flatlined as they transferred me onto the OR table. When your intestine or any internal organ ruptures, it releases toxins throughout the abdominal cavity, which can kill someone in minutes. To make a very long story short, I remember, seeing myself being operated on, and then, in the blink of an eye, I didn’t go through the stereotypical tunnel of light, I was just surrounded by an enormously bright white light, only it didn’t hurt to look at the light. There were no discernable walls, floor or ceiling, but I was standing on something solid, I just couldn’t see it. It was at that moment, I realized I was dead, because the crippling, agonizing debilitating pain I have been in for so long was totally gone, within an instant, and replaced by the most intense, wonderful feelings of peace, joy, love, acceptance, every wonderful emotion you could ever imagine, amplified by a factor of 1000. It was then I realized I was in heaven, and never in my life have I ever felt so wonderful after years of so much pain. I saw a man approach me from a distance, and as he drew nearer, I could tell it was my grandfather, who died when I was only eight years old, whom I loved very very much. At first I could not believe my eyes, but when he got close, we ran to each other, and embraced, for what felt like an eternity, I never wanted to let go. It’s strange, the most poignant thing I remember, is breathing him in, and smelling his very distinctive scent of old spice aftershave, that he always wore every day of his life. It truly was divine, and I never wanted to let go, but, he took a step back, look me in the eyes, and with so much love, told me that it wasn’t my time, yet, that my being there was just to let me know what awaits me, that I had to go back. I did not want to go back, not at all, even though I was only 21 at the time, on the other side age is irrelevant. I was actually angry, because I had been in so much pain (There are no words to describe it) for so long, and suddenly it was gone, and I was given this beautiful gift, that I had to leave it behind and go back to that agonizing pain. But he promised me that no matter what he would always be with me, that he would always be guiding me, and would let me know he was there from time to time, then I started falling backwards for what felt like hours. If I had to guess how long I was there, I would’ve said hours, but in this mortal world, it was only three minutes). I woke up after a 10 hour surgery in the ICU, and for the first few days it was touch and go, they didn’t think I was going to survive, but I knew I was, after what I had been through and what I was told. Here’s the part that will send a chill up your spine. When I left my body, and I was looking down at it, I remember seeing something very strange, a big digital clock with very large red numbers, sitting on top of the operating room cabinets where nobody could see it, unless they were floating on the ceiling. I specifically remember the time, it was 11:11 AM. When I went back six months later, for my postop follow up appointment, another man was sitting beside my surgeon, who introduced himself as a fellow of psychiatry at the University in Toronto, doing a study on near death experiences. Before my surgeon could speak, he introduced himself and asked me if I notice anything strange in the operating room. It was then that I remembered that clock, I told him I remember seeing a Clock with big red numbers, and that the time was 11:11 AM. Without saying a word, he slid a piece of paper across the desk to me, it was my medical chart, and a big red circles, written in black ink, were the words “time of death, 11:11 hours”. They both just sat there with their jaws literally wide open, not able to speak. They could not believe I just said that, and they had the proof in their hands, that what I said was true. I was dead, there is no way on earth I could know that information, unless I actually did die and was floating on the ceiling, sounds crazy doesn’t it?, not to me. My grandfather kept his promise, every once in a while from time to time, I’ll be at home alone, and out of thin air will come this overpowering smell of old spice aftershave, and I just know it’s my grandfather keeping his promise. Usually I start to cry because I loved him so much, I tell him how much I love him and miss him, and ask him to give my love to all the family on the other side. I never see, or hear him, but I can feel him, I can feel his love, I can feel his warmth, and it’s the most wonderful feeling in the world to know that there’s such a beautiful place waiting for me on the other side when my time finally does come. Since that first surgery, I’ve had 36 further surgeries removing 95% of my entire G.I. tract. They also found cancer after my large intestine ruptured, cancer that they didn’t even know was there. The symptoms were being masked by the symptoms of the Crohn’s disease, and by the time they realized it was cancer it would’ve been too late and it would’ve killed me For good. I literally had to die to save my life, and all because I refused to have surgery. The cancer came back a grand total of four times, I nearly died three other times, because each time I only had about a 5% chance of survival, but I always knew I was going to survive, I just didn’t know how or why, not even the doctors can explain it. By all medical and scientific reasoning/logic, I should be dead, but I’m still here sharing my story with anybody who will listen, because I believe that’s why I was kept alive. Take what you will from this, it is a true story, and to be honest, if it hadn’t happened to me, I’d have trouble believing it too, but I’m telling you the truth, this really did happen, and I’ve spoken to hundreds of other people with very similar stories, so we all can’t be having the exact same “hallucination due to a lack of oxygen to the brain” as all the doctors would try to explain, refusing to open their minds for one second to new possibilities outside the realm of science. I feel sorry for them, if they cannot take a leap of faith and acknowledge divine intervention, I truly pity them. Unfortunately, after having so much done and going through so much, I was forced to go on permanent, long-term disability at the age of 46. I live with 11 chronic illnesses, nine of which were direct results/side effects from all the treatments, chemotherapy, radiation, and medication‘s. But don’t feel bad for me, be happy for me, why? My mom and dad, who are 90 and 88 respectively, still live in their own home, and absolutely refused to go to a long-term care facility, the only way that it’s possible is if I’m there to take care of them. So I dedicate all of my time to caring for my parents. If I had died, or if I had never gotten sick and was working full-time, I wouldn’t be able to do that, and my parents would probably be gone by this point. But because the way everything worked out, I am able to dedicate all my time to caring for the people I love more than anything in this world. That’s what I mean when I tell people everything happens for a reason. And as crazy as it might sound to you, I would go through it all over again if it meant having the opportunity to be there for my parents. They adopted me when I was nine months old, after meeting some of my biological family, who are all drug attic’s, alcoholics, criminals…..pretty much the worst of society, I appreciate my parents that much more because they rescued me from a life of Lord only knows what. So there you have it, as I said, do what you want with it, share it, learn from it, or ignore it, it’s up to you. I just wanted to share my story and pray to God that I’m able to bring at least a few people some hope that there’s more to this life than we realize. Thank you for listening, and God bless. And just in case, you’re wondering, by faith, I was raised Anglican, but I’ve since converted to Catholicism, similar, but not the same. But sometimes faith doesn’t seem to be a factor in this experience, all those people I mention that I spoke to who went through something very similar, came from every single different faith, all around the world.

@@jamesrobert782 so happy to hear that you’re doing well! I pray to God that it stays that way for the rest of your life, because I wouldn’t wish what happened to me on my worst enemy…. but I don’t need to take away from the pain you went through to, because it’s incredibly traumatic, and not an easy thing to cope with physically or psychologically, and it does leave behind scars, scars that most people cannot see because they are psychological. I developed, chronic, even crippling anxiety, depression, and PTSD, and while it is getting much better than it used to be, I think it’s something I just have to learn to live with for the rest of my life as my condition progresses. Most people are like yourself, having to have, a part of their intestinal tract removed, and that’s it, managing the disease with diet, exercise, and medication. The fact of the matter is most people with some form of IBD never have to have surgery at all. Out of curiosity, does anybody else in your family have Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diraticulitis, or any other intestinal disorder? My doctors told me it’s not genetic, yet my biological grandmother died from a ruptured colon, the exact same thing that happened to me, one of my biological brothers has colitis, and several other family members have a variety of G.I. disorders. I really don’t know why we cannot genetically trace it, even though I’ve studied it thoroughly in the laboratory, because that’s what I do for a living, yet everyone I speak to that has Crohn’s, has other family members that have it as well, it’s a very mysterious illness in that regard. I’m just so happy for you, and I’ll definitely keep you in my prayers! Thanks for sharing, and please take care of yourself 😁

Girls were shot dead for looking up before their name was called, shot dead for daring to cry for their mothers at night, shot dead for fun. I believe in our existence without the body. I tell you this because of an experience that I had when I was 5 years old. I'm 65 now. This will be a little long, so if you do not like reading long comments you can skip this if you would like. My brother and I both had developed tonsillitis, and we were very sick. My mother had waited a little too long to take us to the hospital than was recommended. After the surgery we were both taken to our grandparents house and put to bed in separate rooms. The memory of what happened to me that night came back to my mind around 15 years ago. It has been blocked out of my mind until I was ready to understand. You can call it a vision, or a vivid dream, but it was neither, it was the reality of what I experienced. When this memory came back to my mind 15 years ago, I told my mother what I had experienced. She told me she was not surprised, because all of my family was really concerned that I might die because I was so sick after the surgery. This experience started off with me all of a sudden being awake and looking down at a bed in a small room with a small child curled up in the fetal position. It seemed that the room was revolving slowly anti-clockwise Direction. I slowly Rose higher and higher above the bed as the room revolved, and I kept wondering what I was seeing. I finally stopped Rising as I apparently reached the ceiling, and that was when I realized that the small boy on the bed was me. He had the same brown T-shirt, the same brown corduroy pants, and it was in the same room that I usually stayed in at my grandparents house. When I realized this, I said out loud, or it seemed that I spoke out loud, "Hey that's me." As soon as I voiced that thought, I felt a giant Force, like a hand, push me back down into my body. That is the end of that experience, that I remember. But I do remember the next morning waking up and going into the kitchen and telling my grandmother that I was hungry. She was surprised. Surprised that I was up and awake and hungry. I had been so sick the night before. She checked me and I had no fever, and I was full of energy as a normal five-year-old boy should be. She cooked me scrambled eggs with soft bacon bits mixed in, and I ate all of it. She again exclaimed how I ate so well and asked me if my throat hurt. When I told her no she again was amazed. So to this day I can remember having left my body when I was near death, having seen things around me, heard sounds from outside the room, had felt the force of something pushing me back into my body. I had full mental faculty. I had experienced confusion first, then amazement, and then surprise at the end. You can call this a range of not only thought processes, but a range of emotions that I experienced while in this out-of-body state. But what was most amazing was not only had this power put me back into my body, but had healed my body completely. No fever, no pain, my throat had healed completely just after surgery. Me having this memory brought back to me at this time in my life was a perfect time for me. It allowed me to accept the fact that there is life after death, and that there is a higher power. It allowed me to become a born-again Christian, having been of a scientific type of Mind most of my life. I always had to see something to believe it. This allowed me to re-experience something that had happened to me, and seeing it I believe. May God bless all of you.

She told me One guy was in such terror/ great fear on his death bed he was trying to get away from something dreadful so much to the point his skin on his arms showed the meat. And soon after he died with a horrifying look on his face. and then you have most people that die peacefully.

UNLESS we have been on the other side I think no one of us can with certainty know what it is all about. It’s like a person who never drove a car will tell you , theoretically, how to drive one. And even those who have been on the other side, the memory of the question - what is all about ? , was erased, they weren’t able to remember the answer to that. So only guessing, I understand that it is about love and kindness (Chesed) and we are here to practice it and expand our soul and get closer to our creator.

That’s why Catholic is called catholic. We believe the truth is for all men, and God always meant all humanity to be included in his flock. God chose the Jews because they chose Him, and their faithful were chosen to spread the truth to all the divided tribes that have come as we continually descend from Grace as a species. I’m not sure how so many raised as Catholics miss this fact, because I was raised outside the church and have never had the chance to take my faith so much for granted. I often envy those raised in the church until I read stories like yours and realize it’s not necessarily the easy path I frequently imagine it to be. I hope you reevaluate your faith now that you have more capacity to explore its doctrines with a mature mind. It’s very different than how you look at it when your brain is still childish. God bless you.

Rabbi, this is exactly correct. My heart was accidently stopped during a back operation when the vagus nerve was accidently pierced. I don't know exactly how long I was "out" but my experience was precisely as you described. I went directly from the operating table to a wonderful place with a wonderful Guide who was directing me. But I could hear people calling my name. I told the Guide I was not going back. My guide agreed, but, as we continued to hear the hollering getting more frantic (from the doctor and nurses), my Guide suggested that we better check to see what they want. My vision narrowed as is slid back into the body on the table. I was suddenly very sick and could not seem to catch my breath. The nurse grabbed my hand and that comforted me somehow. It took about 45 minutes for me to recover to where I could breathe again without struggling. While in that "Place" I could somehow see everything from every angle, possibly 360 vision? I was also somehow much more "awair".... coming back into the body everything seemed to close back in.

As we have placed multi spectrum telescopes in orbit to see IR, UV and even the x-ray spectrom, we see a entire new energy source and distribution of energy than we could have ever imagined. How "real" is your early life memories? Or, could they be only your imagination? not to impugn your mom's character but my dad was a wesleyan/nazarene preacher for over 20 years and that is a christian denomination that shared a common root with the denomination that was the predecessor of the charismatic church. i've never approved of charismatic because they put emotionalism before reality. charismatics always said non-charismatic were stuffy and stifled but that's not true we don't believe emotions should be suppressed that rather that they should follow the facts like the caboose follows the engine of a train. Sure emotions can become unstable and fly off the train tracks so to speak sometimes but in general over time they should be brought into alignment with facts, and because charismatics didn't do that i saw them exhibit all kinds of unstable, almost bipolar kinds of behavior, convulsing at the altar, crying and wailing profusely and excessively, etc. I thought they should be in therapy not "church" quite frankly.

I don't have a name for what I am. "Spiritualist" comes closer than anything. I was raised Christian while living in a half Jewish community and had many Jewish friends and boyfriends (the words shiksa and jap were jokingly bandied about). I was always welcome in their homes and at their tables - even during holy days - and I felt at least a rudimentary understanding of what it meant to be Jewish. I enjoy listening to this rabbi very much. Thank you to all who have contributed to this channel. I am not quite as far along life's road as you are, but I ponder the next phase of life quite a bit. I don't know about aliens, I do know our creator exists from my own life experience. I don't know where we actually go from here, I do know God has something he can do to us, given us death no more. God hold the keys to life and death. I believe in resurrection. The afterlife is for the chosen. The red sea is for the wicked. God is a spirit that has always existed like no other intelligent creative powerful amazing spirit. Anything is possible anywhere in the universe because of the ideas 💡 and God abilities to have influences on the thought process. Transcending transforming mental powers beyond our imagination. To describe our creator. Think of something, someone that's non Biological, has no origins just always existed and decided to let us out of his know abouts, as we were all trapped inside of him and didn't have to actually do this. That's what makes life very interesting. Getting to know we are not alone pal. In this realm we should come to a great sense of awareness, scanning my surroundings because someone can leave their footprints 👣 in the sand that's invisible. Can easily walk on water because it is a spiritual force that floats like a ghost. To know about our creator and get used to how we are breached is comfortable. Unfortunately it comes with receiving a very bad raw deal in life. Now how we give (serve) back to God is on how well we hear and follow instructions whispered into our great senses of awareness that have been now enhanced after physical touches have occurred. It's a lot going on, folks. People need to know how to connect the dots and stay tuned in daily 24/7 it's so many warning signs incoming from divine intervention. We are not alone

I am an eastern Orthodox Christian; we are not allowed to be cremated because of the destruction of the bones during cremation, where they pulverize the bones to powder. Do you believe this is also why Jewish people are not allowed to be cremated, Because of the destruction of the bones and because of the resurrection of the body to the soul?
@krislynmills3695
@krislynmills3695 Жыл бұрын
Metropolitan Antony told me we do not destroy the image of God. That is why we don’t cremate. I had thought that it was because we didn’t want to be the ones to start the hell fire. Good thing I have a true Spiritual Father.

the same occurs in catholicism for the same reason , the early church carried on judaism's respect for the human body as being created in God's image and followed their practices of speedy interment, in hopes of the future resurrection of all dead

Respect the physical body (dead or alive); it is the work of God. Hence, cremation is a disrespectul act to do to your loved ones as I understood. This is my personal opinion. I dont condem others for their choices.
@glynmwaka

@@lucajacovig8159 You see now that there remains a higher truth because the source of creation is not God or Deity in that God or Deity is a person who exists in time and space somewhere. Therefore all forms have their source in the immaterial non-physical dimension. All creation and forms are merely fluctuations and modulations of the absolute source of existence, boundless and infinite intelligence. Therefore God or Deity is the immaterial and non physical dimension taking shape and form because SOURCE is imageless, formless, genderless, colourless and not a deity either. The teaching made by the Rabbi is spot on but I don't know if they try to go beyond God or forms when talking about the nature of existence. Going beyond duality into wholeness and oneness. I enjoyed the teaching though and I'm definitely sharing with others.

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6: “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also, their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.” Ezekiel 18:4: “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” The man is a living soul while being alive since birth. Genesis 2:7: “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.” Eve in the Garden of Eden thought she was seeing a beautiful serpent talking with her, but saying the opposite of God's word, but she preferred to believe more in her senses than in God's word: she started dying from that moment on. At Endor's cave, King Saul preferred to listen to a medium witchcraft woman than listen to God's Word and repent while he was still alive as a living soul. In Israel It was forbidden under the death penalty, to communicate with the supposed spirit of the dead. Saul knew that but still went on against God's will to listen to a satanically possessed woman and was told by the devil through the medium woman, that he will die the next day. Satan knew that Saul was out Of God's protection, and that Saul was already under satan's power and a dead man. The next day, in despair, King Saul killed himself. Isaiah 8:20: “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”
