Her way of getting back at him was to be late for everything…..he hated tardiness. She was refined, she didn’t take a lover. Diana didn’t get the Disney fairytale so she went about it all wrong. As I said before, C and C met in ‘72. They were in love. Palace forces prevented their union. If the palace had stayed out of his love life, Diana would never have been matched up with him, and probably still be alive today, happily wed to someone else.

@ - No, Laverne. Catherine will be called Queen when William becomes King. Technically, she will be Queen Consort as the spouse of previous Kings were. Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, George V and Queen Mary and George VI with Queen Elizabeth…the Queen Mum. They were all Queen Consort just like Queen Camilla. The word consort is not used, but it’s the legal term. Elizabeth II was Queen….no consort…she was the Monarch. Also, Queen Victoria’s spouse Albert, was technically Prince Consort, because he was the spouse of the Monarch, same for Prince Philip, he was technically Prince Consort, but consort was never used. It’s just a legal technicality, they will be King William and Queen Catherine. I hope I live to see that. ❤️

She is indeed the queen consort. But her style/title is Her Majesty The Queen (or informally, HM Queen Camilla). Queen consort is not a title. It is a descriptive term to distinguish a king’s wife from a Queen Regnant like Queen Elizabeth II. All Queen Consorts are titled as Queen. Remember Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother? They were all queen Consorts, but no one called them that. At the age of 20 or so, I don’t think he felt like marrying anyone then. He had too much on his plate and he was going into the Navy. It was years later, Camilla’s marriage had ended ( her husband was a known philanderer) and Charles was going through the awful mess with Diana. Diana was having an affaire with James Gilbey at that time and the time came to call it quits. Then and only then do I think that Charles and Camilla re kindled their relationship. Diana wasn’t all that naive, I think the fact that she was going to be the Princess of Wales and future Queen and mother of a future monarch, turned her head, plus her family were very much for it. She was a very willing lamb.

After H and the rottweiler, I think we are going to see some very surprisingly stern lines drawn in the sand during their reign. Lines that are drawn in terms of truth coming out, no matter how potentially damaging to the monarchy it could be. It's that measure of truth that will sustain the monarchy. As honorable as she was, I feel like QE2 did way too much damage control. Way too many instances where the public was left wondering what really happened. He then was then granted the titles of Duke of Edinburgh (and Baron Greenwich and Earl of Merioneth) on the eve of his wedding. He did not become Prince Phillip until a decade after his marriage. Although he was the consort of the Queen, it was never his title, the only Prince Consort we have had was Prince Albert, the title being created especially for him.

When Charles dies, assuming he goes first, Camila will continued to be known simply as "Queen Camilla." The media uses this non existent title but the palace does not. That said, I predict that while her official title will not change, I doubt she will get any additional honors during William's reign. I believe he tolerates her only for his Dad's sake and not because he especially likes her. I would imagine that upon Charles's death she will be relocated to a much reduced accommodation with fewer staff and less security and a much smaller budget unless she really steps up her game which I see no sign of. Queen Camilla would legally be the widow of King Charles (in case of his death) and therefore the current term "Queen Dowager Camilla" is quite appropriate - The next in line of succession and his wife will then inherit the current titles of the late King and his widow.

Camila & Charles have a (I believe it's called) Morganistic Marriage. Although legally married, Camilla has no power, no titles, & neither she nor her children have title to the throne.

I kind of thought Catherine would have the title of Queen Mother when William becomes king since you know she’s the mother of George, Charlotte, and Louis. Not Queen Consort. Maybe there's an explanation that can clear it up.

Catherine becomes Queen Dowager when she becomes widow and William dies as King. She also is the Queen Mother because she is mother to the future king, Prince George, her eldest son. Camilla has no children with Charles. Therefore, she is only Queen Dowager at Charles' death.

The Queen mother is the living former Queen, mother of the Current Monarch. If Prince George becomes King, his wife becomes the Queen Consort & Catherine will become the Queen Mother.

Just don't understand why king Charles would choose Carmella over Princess Diana she amazing beautiful woman plus wife and mother to amazing handsome sons. Princess Diana is true Princess always decades her life to the world with such kindness and love. Everyone just adores her 😊
