Regarding clothes, I buy concert shirts that have Gildan or Hanes tags on them. Those are like $1 shirts from walmart they're selling with some ink for usually $25, but I also understand that, at least for the bands I listen to, merch is a main source of income so I don't mind. As an illustrator, I can only imagine the person they commissioned to design the deck was slightly embarrassed at the low level of customization they requested, and disappointed with the quality of the cards his or her work ended up on. I’ve been wanting to work on my own deck of cards, and honestly - I haven’t gotten to it yet because I _know_ what an *insane* amount of time it takes to create an impressive deck (playing, tarot, whatever the case). I’ve watched artist’s accounts as they slowly make one card design after another. IT. TAKES. FOREVER. Every time. Usually a year _or more_ when it’s just one person behind the entirety of the design. I’ll get there... but not yet. I got some shit to do before I can really dedicate my time to taking on such a project.
