Back before I switched to Kiss of War I played this for about a year and a half. You really helped me with your tutorial vids and if it was not a modern ww2 setting I would not have switched over. It’s hijacked we got 3-4 alliances in my kingdom where this has happened and one alliance which was given back eventually which was our second fighting alliance. Ever since the kingdom has not been the same, but we all been playing together for years and we just play as a lower seed kingdom now but nowhere near how we us’t to be.

Good you remind yourself of re-evaluating your life at times and change if needed to stay happy. I wish you the best for the future. Very recognizable. I asked myself: Why I play a game? To relax and have fun. When I want to play a game? When/how much I like to. When am I actually playing this game? Whenever I am expected to. Are allies, (read: KD leaders) nice and respectful? No, most are unpredictable sadistic tyrants. My cities are never truly safe. Is that fun and relaxing? No. Why would I still play this game? I don't know. I stopped logging in and afaik idle cities will be taken off the map after 30 days, so then they are 'archived' if I ever would decide to play them again.

The game is fading fast. There’s really nowhere for it to go and there are no new players. They benefited from COVID, but with that gone they’re next. @@Shinchi42Which I might do. You just brought up a lot of solid points. I used to play a lot a few years ago. It is an expensive game and you won’t ever get the ROI unless you’re a mega whale. You can be a low or mid spender but you’ll get smashed. The game is also sooo time consuming and being 30 I don’t have the time to really play it, but didn’t think about it till I saw your video. And honestly happened by it by looking up sleeper videos and seeing your profile picture. I used to watch you. Again I appreciate you making the video. Echo shinchi Wick Chisgule Legend Rhonny omniarch were the guys making content when i started. Like everybody ROK is getting so boring. We need a video how to quit ROK. Armaments was a disaster. Refinement is awful also. I tell everybody u will regret every penny u spend/waste in ROK. KVK without buying tech will always hamstring u. Not sure if it is best to open all ur RSS tiles before u quit so ur kingdom can loot u and farm kills.

I quit myself as well (mid 2021-end of 2023) and even without spending a lot I did a great comeback, but I get your point. In rok you either spend money or time, and sometimes people don't want to contribute both. It's actually probably the right decision for you to quit, even though it's sad, so many responsibilities and you also want to enjoy life, experience new things. Rise of kingdom needs a "vacation mode" for players who want to take some time away from the game, that way at least you don't lose your hard-earned troops and resources.
