Man wish I would have used the cooper coat gasket spray. Good call. My father in law would use that on the head gasket when we would replace one on e46’s. Keep up the hard work.

Is it possible to use this manifold on E36 TOP mount? For Bottom mount e36 is there room for GT35 ebay? Thanks you!

It can be used as top mount if you make an adapter between the manifold and the turbo. Take it with a grain of salt, but a GT35 should fit find as bottom mount.

How well did the turbo flange port match the one on the manifold? I have the exact same turbo manifold and the port on it (aswell as gasket) seems a bit wider than the one on turbo.

You'd need an adapter to push the turbo away from head.

Yes I was. It's a tight squeeze for hot side intercooler piping, but you can definitely get it to work.

It's been holding up, but this car hasn't seen many street miles and only a couple track days. Still hard to say whether or not it will last in the long term.

You can if you modify it or make an adapter. As is, the turbo would hit the valve cover.

People have done it, but all of them have made some sort of adapter between the manifold and the turbo. Otherwise the turbo would hit the valve cover.

As is, the turbo would hit the valve cover. Everyone that runs this manifold as top mount makes an adapter to push the turbo further out.

Most people who do that run an adapter between the turbo and the manifold. Otherwise you’ll have clearance issues with the valve cover

I would have ordered 3 gaskets and cut 3x2 out so the gaskets match the manifold

@@nuisance_carl because you made those slots with the bandsaw, perhaps the manifold now has a different heat expansion, but it depends most on the tolerance of the gasket holes I guess. I enjoy your videos a lot, keep it up :)
