Want to double down on the fact that this is in no way a White dismissal, far from it. Not only can the lake coexist (White vs Liverpool, Timber as a pure MF, etc), but Whites range as a QB gives us so much value, and will be required. We’ve got a roamer and a QB, we should only be celebrating that depth! (Plus Tomiyasu if he gets fit!😂) Arguably more pertinently, with the onus placed on our full backs, the responsibility, the all-actionness: we need both White and Timber; just as we need both Calafiori + another for LB. Don't agree. We don't have to move every defender into midfield.. let them do what they're best at, defending. We have better midfielders and we CAN get better midfielder too. Timber is our utility, Swiss knife defender.

Top vid Harvey,seems like we’ve gotten into our rhythm massive win especially with Liverpool dropping points,Timber is amazing him,saliba,rice particularly stood out vs united,his stature is of a Short CB however he’s light on his feet like a fullback,he’s so willing to go 1vs1 and makes it look easy both offensively and defensively. I really like him and salibas connection that’s forming,we’ve spoke about salibas capacity in the past to step into midfield and timber allows him to excel at it.I will say Ben white is still very useful more of a passer especially long range & there will be games that are more suited to him,pleasure to have both.

Absolutely. Don’t want this video to come across in any regard as a White dismissal. As QBs go he’s got it all, and I think they can coexist: Whites role vs Pool, or Timber as a pure MF. Yeah I think there’s a relationship there with Saliba, how often Wilo knocks it back to him after baiting a presser, how they fill in for each other. Good stuff good stuff nice. Thanks TBG. Jurrien is the perfect case example of why we absolutely HAVE to sign his twin. Quinten is a multifaceted CM as well, and the best part is? BOTH Timbers can play each other’s positions. Quinten can play across the back line as well as across the midfield, and so can Jurrien…

Timber is making saka and odegaard to thrive well cus he is also a commander so at times he moves pressure away from the two front guys and create spaces. No allowing saka or odegaard to do the work every time like b. White would do. For instance the against Fulham which we will play nxt 2mrw. Last season, the marked those guys out and then we had no solution but with timber everyone will thrive well.

Great comment. Lots of things to talk about in this… I think I would argue that all we are seeing from Timber from an in-possession standpoint (as amazing as it is) is to be expected. I think defensively is where he has taken people be surprise. When we signed him, I saw him as someone who was a top class 1v1 defender-but probably didn’t expect this level of how he has clamped down wingers like he has. He negotiates the duel well, but genuinely has come out on top every time, too. Chance creation has scaled so much in recent weeks. If he could add TAA’s bigger passes (even to like a tiny degree), wow, that’s special. I think 2nd itw ain’t a bad shout for us Arsenal fans, although rivals will understandably want more. Picture it FF: the tight space dribbling, choppy steps, speed of thought and movement with that trio. We need Ode, but it’s a nice psychological excersie😂
