My next car will be a Lexus. I current own and wrench on my own Corolla. I HAD a Mercedes C240, C for Cheap Piece of Crap. I complained to my euro mechanic, who honestly just said, 'these cars suck. Buy a Honda or a Toyota if you don't like bringing it in. Never saw him again. I now get 5 oil changes for every ONE he did before, unless I do it myself, and get 20. Most repairs I do (incluiding suspension) asre done in under an hour! FU Germans.

A friend of mines has a 2010 Lexus ISF with 220,000km. Feels better than some new cars. All that's ever been replaced are brake pads, tires and fluids. Best fast car I've ever driven;

ISF was a very good start for the sport models and tech. Newer Toyotas and Lexuses get the same tranny which i have heard is as good as DSG

Love my 2013 GS 350, no issues whatsoever in 6 years. Still looks and dives like new. No breakdowns, no recalls, no issues. I can service it at my Toyota dealer.

Yes they are very reliable but what i dnt like is when that starter goes out you better have your duckies ready cause the starter is inside the engine I believe unless that is only on the Tundra

@@jomartin7691 The starter is accessible on my Lexus, I can even see it. Maybe your Tundra has a different set up. BMW is worse it's all the way by the fire wall and the screws are made from magnesium, those screws are one time use only...meaning you have to order new screws every time you change the starter.

Most Lexus vehicles are built in Japan. I would love to own one, but cannot afford it at the moment. Simply put, they have a higher standard of quality, engineering and care in making a quality vehicle, not cheapening the quality by cutting corners, low grade materials and hastily built shoddy work from US cars. Yes, I own a Dodge Charger...junk.

Mark Irizarry You can afford it,start off with the older models they’ll last longer than a 5-10 year old German car even...You made the right choice wanting a Lexus. These German cars are nice to look at & own when they’re under warranty,but when the warranty is up I suggest you keep it for weekends or get rid of it,but for daily driving get a Lexus.

My brother in law and I got 2 identical 1998 c43 AMG's. I came out of an Audi s4. I was thrilled with the car at first and amazed at the deal we got. Both cars were in the shop within 6 weeks for various issues. My car had electrical problems almost from day one. After 2 years my rear battery literally exploded. I could not believe it. The car was so unreliable that my wife would never be comfortable taking the car on long trips. I got rid of it and got a 2004 Lexus GS430. My bio got an LS430. We kept both of those cars for almost a decade. I traded my GS in at 180k miles. His car had around 200k. Not a single issue in all that time. Not one problem in 10 years. Oil, tires, brakes. That's all. My nephew is now driving that LS, and 14 years later, not a single issue. Still completely silent at stop signs. Still butter smooth. I will never own a German car again. Sorry.

Am a proud owner of a 2006 lexus ls430 full option euro-tuned version with all round body skirts...bought it new and has only 31k miles after over a decade... the G.O.A.T. in the automotive world is still going strong! Touch wood....

I had the same experience. Went from a Mercedes SL500 to a Lexus ES350. The Mercedes, even with very low mileage, was always braking down after its seventh year due to mainly electronic system problems. My Lexus is entering its tenth year and not one mechanical problem so far.

fishslab I have a 2008 LS460 too with 120K miles. I notice when it’s hot the weird material on the door panels gets nasty sticky but not the dashboard. My 2006 Lexus ES330 has nicer door panels IMO. Real leather on the arm rest unlike my LS. Can you still have toy/lex fix the sticky issue? Lol

It's funny how I drive a Lexus and it feels infinitely better than Mercedes yet here in the UK (I have a loan car for a few days because I'm getting some extras done to my Lexus) I get more admiring looks in the Merc. I too used to work valet, and I agree, the Lexus's were my favorite (aside from the Bentley's, BMW M cars, Audi R cars and the other ultra luxury cars). Their interiors were so comfortable and clean.

In America, like 6 or 8 out of 10 places were taken by Japanese cars, and it was about how long does an American keep their new car before he buys another one, I think the average for Toyota was above 10 years, they had like 4 models in that 10 places, so yeah, I think you are wrong.

i daily drive a 05' ls430 with 270k miles, onlt thing that has broken on the car is the driver side mirror wont rotate, i change the oil every 8k miles. Oil comes out the same exact color that i put it in.

The interior only looks good on the new 3 series but it's nothing to write home about.

Same! My mom owns a 2005 Land Cruiser she’s had since new, and put over 270,000 miles on. Never had an issue. She also has an 08 LS460, an amazing machine that is. I’ve got a 2006 ES330 with over 200,000 miles that still looks and feels like it’s brand new. My brother has a nice 04 Toyota Solara, which I actually really like. Stylish car. My grandmother has an 07 ES350, and she says she’s never loved a car more than her Lexus. After she had many problems with her 2006 Subaru Forester XT Turbo, and her Volvo. My grandfather has a 1993 SC400 with over 280,000 miles that he’s had restored new. He loves that thing, as do I. He also has a 2006 SC430, which he adores lol. All in all, Lexus and Toyota has never let us down, and we’ll never deviate from them.

I've bought me an fully loaded IS300h here in Germany. Really comfy on long autobahn trips, good driving characteristics on more rual roads and gas usage like a diesel without the complicated exhaust cleaning systems. The interior feels solid and of high quality, too. The only thing that is worse than the local competition, is the infotainment. Its userinterface is years behind, but the Mark Levinson Soundsystem is nice ;-)

In terms of EVERYTHING this video nails it. I own a 2015 RC350. Drove every make of car in my 50 plus years of driving and this is my all time favorite! Was 0ver 50k so I leased it for 4 years so I could afford the payments AND just purchased it at lease end. Awesome car. Or should I say automobile. Everyone that owned any kind of Toyota in my family over the past 20 years has put more than 200,000 miles on the car before they chose to get rid of it. My wife’s Camry has over 240,000 miles on it and never had any real problems. We’ve had RAV4‘s, 4 runners, Camery and all of them performed above expectations. I swear by my Toyota/Lexus. Many other cars I’ve had in the past I often swore at! Dare I mention Corvettes and Cadillacs!

Bought a AWD 2010 Lexus gs350 in 2017 with 80,000 miles on it for $17k . Best car I ever bought next to my maximas. It now has 125,000 mi on it and haven’t had no issues with it whatsoever (thank God) . We thought about upgrading (wife wants suv) to the Rx 350 but don’t want to get into a payment again if we don’t have to. This car replaced my ‘05 maxima that had 220,000 miles on it when it finally went. We are Nissan people and always have been but this Lexus really opened my eyes up to some serious quality in a vehicle. I believe they over engineer these cars which is good. We’ll probably never buy anything else again but a Lexus

I've recently become a big Lexus fan. I hated the spindle grill when it first hit the streets, but the latest iteration is much better integrated with the brand's overall styling. My favorite Lexis models right now are the flagships, of course. I absolutely love the new LS and LC models and I plan on purchasing a LS with the twin turbo V6 as a gift to myself when I retire. They are aesthetically gorgeous and have undeniable Toyota reliability, so that beauty can last for decades. In my opinion, Lexus represents the very best value in the luxury realm.

2009 Lexus IS 250 owner here. I love it , it’s super sleek and performs flawlessly. Gas mileage is pretty good, not great mileage but for surely not bad either. Very comfortable to drove also. So smooth. Can’t even tell I’m on the freeway sometimes when I’m on it. It almost feel likes it gliding. Superb brand.

Nothing against Lexus at all and don't get me wrong I think that the Japanese cars are second to none. My grandpa actually worked for Mitsubishi but drove a Mercedes since his father gave it to him. I think it's just a family tradition at this point. Like any car it's all about maintenance.

My GS450h is simply superb! Full size, fully featured, nothing ever goes wrong (it's 12 years old), it does 0-100 kph in 5.2 and gets over 30 mpg.
