Fantastic. One of the best Packout demo/how-to videos I’ve ever seen. Thanks!

I worked out of a pick up for a long time, the day I bought a three-quarter ton Chevy van and then upgraded to a one ton was a game changer.

Vans seem like the most efficient, what I forgot to mention in the video is that 90% of the time we're pulling a tool trailer so this is for the 10% when we don't need the trailer

How does the van do pulling a trailer?

Super simple and super effective.

I think that's what I like the most, its one unit and took me an evening to make

This is a great video and build. Thank you for sharing. Got many ideas I’d like to try with my own setup. Thanks.

A tip you can use pipe or pex clamps screwed to the side of your box you made. That would let you lock in the step stool and clip it in so it do not rattle. Consider a veto kp van organizer to hanging on the back seat to store common use chemicals and quick grab stuff. you only need 2-4 inches to access it easily. I know everything is containted but people get hurt by flying objects from back seats consider a Subaru dog cage pannel to protect you or any metal kennel pannels with zip ties work. The last bit the space you can eak out is one of thoes cargo nets and span it across the ceiling using the handles/coat hanger hooks. I use one of thoes for rags soft good long things that are light. That net also allows you to hang a great bright overhead light easily.

Those are some great ideas, I did consider the possibility of stuff flying to the front seat but hadn't though of a net or cage to block it off

Many people have made every inch of there back seats work for them. Morgan's maintenance had a good cabnet/packout combo. I run a toyta matrix with drawers and such kinda like a mini mini van. The options are endless

The reason other than more space to clip things on to be handy is a story that happened days ago in Oregon. Guy in a s10 got rear ended by drunk driver took a 12in cast iron pipe wrench to the back of the head. You know the s10 extended cab has only a small amount of space so if it got him never know 👍.

Nice design!!

Does it move around at all? I built one for my truck and it was rocking back and forth but it's probably because I have an extended cab and my floor isn't level

Use husky kneeler mats or horse stall bed mats nothing moves on thoes when they get weight on them. It takes up space and is heavily anti skid.
@DeVriesCustomMillworksКүн бұрын
Yeah this one is almost perfectly flat, the floor mat helps keep it from walking but it still does sometimes

You should get the Milwaukee stapler

I really should...

killing me that was the first thing i saw and was gonna comment. Out of all the tools he has the one he could use the most is the m12 stapler. It was a half and a half hand cramp watching you.
@DeVriesCustomMillworksКүн бұрын
That dewalt stapler is actually a lot easier to squeeze than other brands, also very light
@MattHmm-rq6dnКүн бұрын
I have that dewalt carbon fiber stapler too but once you go powered you never go back. Makes you feel like a cave man 😆

It’s not even bolted down to the floor, bloody stupid! When you break hard that will go through the windscreen

You just showed up on my feed, new sub. Wondering why you stapled it all rather than spray adhesive? Also the cubby underneath, whats going on under the platform - is that the tracksaw guide I'm seeing, what about levels - is that what goes in there? Anyways looking good, you're pretty young to be this well organized for sure. My f250 extended cab is loaded up with lots of stuff but lack the proper organization, although I KNOW where EVERYTHING IS in the 'organized' chaos of milk crates, buckets & packout\dewalt organizers! 😂🤔😅👍🏻👌🏻🛠️🔧🔩

Thanks for the sub! I did have some carpet adhesive that I just didn't want to mess with haha spray adhesive would've been a good middle ground. Yes the track guide is underneath and there's room for expansion. Left it open ended so I have options.
