We wanted to clarify that the pano roof is optional on the standard length RX but NOT on the RX-L. The Lexus RX is still the same plush and luxurious car it's always been but we seriously think you should pass on the RXL version and just go with the standard size model. Lexus promises the next-generation RX to offer a third row that is actually usable for adults and we can't wait to see what the new one will look like in 2022. Hope you guys also liked the new format of this video! If you do, leave a comment below and we will implement this for future videos! Stay safe everyone!

It would be interesting to see the redesign of the car and see how much the GV80 would affect RX sales since they are up and coming with more tech that buyers want. It would be interesting to see how the RX looks once it moves to the the TNGA platform as well. I hope the RX extends the wheelbase to give more reasonable interior room for second and third row. It’s apparent that the highlander is way more space efficient than the RX L. Maybe we can get hints of how this new platform would be from the NX which should be redesigned before the RX

Here in the south, Lexus is synonymous with "old money." The interior as long as it is plush, and exterior somewhat sporty, will continue to be king. People who buy this vehicle don't care too much about flashy toys like brands such as Mercedes and Audi provide, they care about noise levels and reliability. This is justified by the almost 20 year old blockbuster GX460 and the GS350. Lexus knows it's target American audience and they continue to be brand loyal.

I have never been a Toyota/Lexus fan as they always seemed to be behind the curve when compared to their competitors. But recently I bought my wife a used Lexus NX 300. I thought it was a really dumb move as we could have bought a new Mazda CX-5 for nearly the same money. But after going through the dealer experience (it was a CPO car) and living with the car, I have to say...I'm very impressed. The car is just quality. Switches feel great. Seats are great. Ride is great. Performance is more than adequate. I've probably owned over 30 vehicles in my life and none really gave me the feeling of solid reliability like the Lexus. It seems indestructible. I'd say if you lease a car or trade every two or three years then there are some fancier options that might make you happier. But if you keep a car for 5 to 10 years, I think the Lexus may be the ticket. They seem to focus more on the tried and true than the latest and greatest.

I recently picked up my 2020 RX350, continuing my ownership of RX models since 2004. Clearly, I think that they are superior in design, comfort, quiet, equipment and reliability. The two-row model is quite spacious, with 38 inches of legroom in the second row--easily accommodating 6 foot+ individuals behind front seats positioned for 6 foot+ individuals in the front row. I prefer the controls in the RX (except for that horrible track pad, but it is made obsolete because the screen can now be touch-controlled), especially the traditional shifter as opposed to the ridiculous joy stick or push button shifters adopted by some competitors. Two-row RX models are typically priced from the mid-$50's to $60k, which is quite respectable when compared to European competitors.

I have a feeling they wanted the door to close so softly that they actually made it slightly too difficult to latch. 5:00 this interface operates much more smoothly now, and the touchpad by the armrest is much easier to use than the previous "mouse" style device that I found to be wonky 6:50 you actually CAN get a dual pane sunroof on this vehicle when you basically max it out on options 11:35 this third row is not comfortable (basically not even possible) for adults, but it is completely adequate for kids. That is the purpose of this car 14:20 the trunk is HUGE with the third row down, and still functional with the third row in use 15:30 these tail lights are actually part of the triple beam headlight package - these are NOT standard, and the base tail lights are identical to '16-'19

Basic sunroof, painted plastic, useless third row, better gas mileage from competitors, 1000$ a inch. Every time I let myself give Lexus a chance they break my heart. Lexus is that person you date that does you wrong then comes home with a new outfit and hair style and does you wrong again. This from the people that made the LFA. Do better Lexus

@caraficionado47244 жыл бұрын
John Holst I base it on reliability, quality, comfort, utility and style. I will say it does not drive as sporty as a comparable European luxury suv, but then again, you don’t buy a Lexus for the performance or handling.
@Big.W.4 жыл бұрын
John Holst Toyota/Lexus builds cars with not the latest and greatest technology, but proved to be reliable technology only. Not the latest and greatest. Only if it’s proven to endure in the long run. That CVT comes only in the hybrid version.

Sofyan is successfully missing the point of the RX. It's job is to provide a smooth, refined luxury experience, with crisp styling and optional hybrid power. Plus superior quality and resale for $40-60k. A winning combination. If you want more luxury, more features, or more power, you can get that elsewhere, for more money. but you give up things that make the RX the 2nd best-selling luxury car in America to the Tesla Model 3.

Lexus has been my favorite brand from a quality durability and reliability standpoint for a long king time. After owning 6 of them since 2004 i can say without question that the models that I purchased from 2004 to 2013 were by far the most solid feeling and sounding. They were the best made. They were all also made in Japan. My current 2019 was made in Kentucky and I immediately noticed a difference in quality solidity and overall workmanship. Its simply not the same. Thus was the first Lexus that I've ever owned that I thought the doors sounded flimsy and cheap when closed especially the front doors. Lots of shake and clatter when slammed shut. My 2013 with 157k on it sounded 5x more solid when I slammed the door shut. It really is something that Lexus should look into as a company as a quality control measure if they truly want to keep the reputation that they have worked so hard and have done such a stellar job at maintaining since 1989! They can do better. I think quality and solidity took a back seat to design/image change and edginess.

I own the 2017 version. I agree with you - for as big as this vehicle is, the interior space is terrible. The CRV has significantly more cargo space, but is smaller overall. I think it's the slanted rear window and the high cargo floor that are the problem.
