Are your RX made in Japan? I have 2010 RX450h, made in Japan, no issues. Thinking of getting another RX, but now all RX are made in Canada. Some said it’s less reliable…😆

Wife sold her 2018 BMW X3, second one, and got an RX 350. Personally I liked the X3, was a bit smaller and would cruise at 105-110 all day long. The RX is one very very nice car. I do like the standard sound system, good clear quality even at spped. It is more comfortable than the X3, bigger softer seats, nice for a long road trip. In general it is one sweet ride, wife loves it and that is all that is important. The X3 did have a few maintenance issues, not as bad as the 08 X3 she had but still small annoying things. My only complaint with the RX is my knee rests against the side of the console, it looks like it is padded but it isnt, small thing but certainly not a deal killer.

I just got my RX 350L, it's smooth as butter, best car ever owned, got 29 MPH on the high way and 18-19 MPH in the city, it takes 87 gas but I put 89 just for a little better quality.

You don't need a higher octane gas, the car's computer adjust the Timing to use the cheaper gas which will get you the same performance....

89 is just 87 and 91 combined together. When you press it to pump it's mixing it in real time. There's a debate that's been going on since the end of time that 89 on certain cars that take 87 has a slightly before performance, response and slightly better mpgs. It may or may not be true given there's not enough research or enough people using it long term to determine so but yes both 87 and 89 are regular gas.

I own a lexus and love it. I like Mercedes Benz vehicle's as well and the other day i went into a Mercedes dealership and looked at their cars , and i was very disappointed in the paintwork of a lot of their vehicles.

I am sure there are other videos on this question. I am trying to understand the paddle shifters. How do you know when to shift and can you cause damage if done wrong? Also do you have to down shift afterwards or leave at high shift? Thinking this is like the older manual shifting cars?

Hey buddy, You would know when to shift by the fact that: 1. The engine is getting loud because, 2. The tachometer is getting high, and 3. You are no longer accelerating 4. The car has a Rev limiter which you do not want to hit and to protect itself, I would guess the computer would shift up for you or cut fuel to the engine. 5. You can down shift with paddles, however the computer will likely downshift for you, such as if you had to slam on the brakes in an emergency, the computer would downshift so that when you hit the throttle to move again you would be in a lower gear or first gear. 6. This is nothing like an old school manual, much easier to drive, no clutch and you can always switch back to automatic anytime which will be much better fuel consumption wise, you simply cannot be better than the computers now days. 7. Some of the RXs have a CVT...there are no specific "gears" to shift thru, yet they still have the paddle shifters. Total joke. This one in the video says it has an 8spd so yeah you really can adjust the shifts. But if you were a moron and floored it, it would shift for you once the tach approached redline

It’s a 2021 not a 2022 that’s why it still has the track pad, and the infotainment screen isn’t touch screen. I don’t think the 2022’s will be available until November. Someone lied to this guy.

Lexus RX450h is my dream car, all that comfortable drive, safety, its design, quality, and most of all its reliability. yeah sure its not as advance and powerful as the competition but I rather have a car that will give me peace of mind and will last in a very long time with little maintenance cost than those show off cars that always breaks down every now and then.

i agree that the rx (and most lexuses, generally speaking) is a bit dated inside, and that some of the competitors make a much more aesthetically pleasing interior (especially mercedes, as you pointed out), but having just test-driven both an rx and gx today, there is an undeniable tactile quality to them which makes me ok with them being behind. i actually prefer this generation lexus to the newer nx which got interior "upgrades" more in-line with the big monitor trend afflicting everyone.

The triple beam LEDs head-light should be standard option and not an expensive add-on! Just like all the security features are now standard compared to previous years where it cost an arm and leg to get.

I have the fully loaded package on my '21 RX, which includes the triple beam lights. And man do they ever make the difference!! Plus I love the auto-bright feature. On a dark road where there's no opposite traffic, the brights turn on automatically and do they ever illuminate the road!!

I just got RX 350 black line edition 2022, came out of a lease of Infiniti QX60. Well no comparison between two they both have their cool things. With this car one thing I don’t understand anytime I turn the button to sports it doesn’t stay in sports mode when I switch the car off and start again.. totally in expected.. if anyone knows how to keep the car in sports mode always? Also too bad this particular special edition doesn’t come with 360 surround camera just the back camera 😏

@@Lifeofaalee It is all about gas mileage today! In “sport” mode shifts take longer, throttle response increases, thus a little less gas mileage in “sport,” mode. That is the reasoning it “defaults” to “normal!”

Add at the start what edition you are reviewing...standard, premium, or luxury. People want to hear your detailed comments on options that are very valuable vs what potential buyer can see on the car lot , or reading a sticker sheet. Speaking a little slower would be good.

This is the worse time to get any cars due to the severe car shortage. We just traded in our lease 1 week ago from a 2018 RX ultra luxury trim with all options into a 2022 RX F-Sport also fully loaded. Our 2018 was 8k _under_ MSRP, and our 2022 was actually 5k _above_ MSRP

@@nishithar.5708 - Yes, you always have the option of buying the car at lease end. We opted not to buy the 2018 bc it didn’t have a several features we really wanted- Apple Car Play, AWD, kick trunk to open, touchscreen and no more mouse infotainment.

I love Toyota and Lexus and I considered selling my 4Runner for this car for a bit more luxury and ride quality but the 0-60 on this is half a second slower than my 4Runner, a heavier vehicle. What am I missing here? And by the way, you can't get any spec for less than $53k for a basic model, so the $45k is an illusion. Bottom line, for a vehicle north of fifty grand, it is slow, the looks are controversial, and it is not large enough for larger families. I'm keeping my 4Runner.

People don't be fooled by your Lexus dealers, when they talk abut Lexus RX 350 year 2022 they advertise so many optionals on this model but your RX 350 dosen't have any of those on it, and your seller doesn't tell you. Unfortunately you will trust the advertisements, and think your RX 350 you pleased should have all typical coverages they advertised, but you will realize the car you purchased has none of those.

This is a 2021 not a 2022. The new 2022 is a touch screen 9-14 inch infotainment display, the trackpad is gone.

@@goldpony The dealership can get in real trouble lying to the consumer. The 2022 is completely redesigned. The most notable is the interior. Just look up more videos on KZbin. Redline reviews, raitisrides, etc. they show the pre-production 2022, it’s not in dealerships yet.

4:20 well youre definately mixed some bias in there since we don't know if youre being sponsered by Lexus but dude, X3 could do better than that at around the same price range. Most SUV at this price range could do the same, especially x3 using turbocharged which tbh is better because you're never going to drive too much faster than the speed limit with more horsepower so I'd go with higher torque than hp.

Lexus is overpriced for what you get, I swear, they cut corners on quality and cheat you on basic amenities featured on most sub luxury features. You have to know what to look for. For example remote start and lift gate and rain sensing wipers, rear window sun shards, heated and cooled seats, wireless phone charger, LED headlights and taillights should come standard @50k. It's insane how cheap and scammy Lexus is with its features.

Lexus drivers always act so smug. I wouldn't take this car if you handed it to me for free. The exterior design is completely without class. Acceleration and infotainment still at the bottom of the back. And how about those seats? Not much padding, for a luxury vehicle...too much Toyota I suppose. Oh and as for "reliability," lol! I don't buy it anymore. Any new BMW, Audi, or Mercedes will give you 50,000 trouble free miles at least. Service intervals at 12,000 miles unlike the obnoxious 5,000 intervals for Lexus. Most Lexus owners go to the retirement home before their vehicles reach 25,000 miles which is probably why they think they are so reliable. Always remember: you get what you pay for! German cars cost more for a reason.
