Thanks for a brief but clearly articulated overview of this luxury cruiseline and one of its finer ships. I appreciated the quality of the narration and the clarity of your voice and tone throughout. Not too fast as to be blurred, nor too slow as to be awkward. Just right, I think. It would be good to see the details of menus, for instance, so as to get a deeper preview of the practical details to expect for such high prices. The dining experiences are among the key aspects of any cruise-experience. I sense that this kind of ship appeals to the wealthy and the well-to-do retired couples, typically middle-aged and upwards. Perhaps, the short itineraries provide an opening for the aspirational younger traveller, still working, to get a taste of luxury.....but, for me, the value for money is a stark comparison: U.S.$4,000 for a week or less in a luxury cruise ship (or a suite aboard a mainstream cruiseship).....or, for the same money, up to a MONTH aboard Royal Caribbean, Carnival, or Holland America, for instance, in an Inside Cabin in the Caribbean.....

Yes, I am going aboard the silver Muse January 5 out of Auckland New Zealand. I’m so tired of mainstream cruise lines with mega ships and nickel and dimming every step of the way. I’m looking forward to not having to crack my wallet as everything including shore excursions are included. I don’t need high-end special drinks, whatever they have available as stock. alcohol is fine. I’m looking forward to space, comfort, relaxation, and port intensity. I’m also looking forward to a Butler who will unpack and pack my clothes, provide canapés every afternoon, set up the bar for us in the room every day, iron our shirts, polish our shoes (if needed) and more great things. Saved $2000 on a sale looking forward to the trip!

Silversea is incomparable to any other cruise line.Of course we pay more but it is truly luxurious. Caviar and Champagne are freele available and the services of the butler are a nice touch. Silversea ships have never more than 600 passengers on board.

Reasons why one may not inclined or has no desire to take a ultra-luxury cruise. The ultra luxury cruise is basically include all free drinks, free shore excursion and the provision of a butler service, in the cruise price. 1. For those non drinkers, they had paid for for the drinks but not indulge in it. 2. Shore excursions are designed with limited sight seeing but bulk of the time on shopping venues. Self exploration is much more preferred then a guided tour. 3. For unsnobbish commoners, they would not require the service of a personal butler in their cabin. 4. Ultra luxury cruise ships are usually small and may become less stable when encountering heavy sea, Passengers are more likely to suffer from seasickness. 5.Smaller ships also have less facilities on board than that associated with bigger ships. 6.Not every passenger is fancy with exotic food like caviar ,lobster or Japanese sushi. Basic cruise food is good enough. 7. Ultra luxury cruise is over-priced for its value, Frankly most of the participants are there to satisfy their ego.-

I picked a small ship because I have arthritis and walking is hard. The big ships would be painful. Also, I don’t like rude , obnoxious people who blast their music. I don’t want to stand in line for everything. Regent Seven Seas has sales occasionally, as much as 405 off and that’s how I do it.
