Seriously????? I don't feel bad for him, not one bit. He literally could have murdered someone driving recklessly like that, so thank God It was just the tree that stopped him... but he needs to be off the streets. He is already a felon that shouldn't be driving in the first place, high on cocaine and all over a ticket/possible jail time, he *chose* to selfishly put everyone else's lives in danger that day. He also caused property damage to that innocent person's home. He deserves everything he gets .... Sorry, not sorry. Prison can have him and anyone else that is selfish enough to do a high speed chase like that, or drive drunk. And he should also get restitution to pay back for the property damage that he caused to this person's home. Everyone is "sorry" when they get caught, everyone. ALWAYS remember that. He was at first more concerned about missing his uncle's funeral than the literal damage and mess that he caused... Even mentioning it again while the car is getting ready to possibly blow out the windows in this person's home. Like come on, don't feel bad for people like that after considering how selfish and reckless they are about others lives. He does not give a heck about how precious life truly is to those around him. He is already a felon reoffending and chances are, if back on the streets will again, if given the opportunity. His actions speak WAYY louder than the words "I'm sorry". He is just lucky that those officers chose to risk their lives to pull him away from that vehicle on fire. (And yes I say choose because they did not have to put their lives in danger for him in this situation and could have said they would wait on the fire department... thank God these officers have compassion because there are officers out there that would have stepped back the moment that vehicle caught fire)

@Jim Lahey everyone deserves respect, and honestly, if the BIPOC population hadn’t been treated as they’ve been all this time, they wouldn’t be so scared of PO stops. He answered when asked why he didn’t stop, that he was scared. Maybe you could try behaving like a decent human being when making comments about a man you know nothing about. People make decisions all the time that are not the best, it doesn’t mean they should be treated like shi for them. And a tad bit of self reflection on your own life, I’m certain you can grasp some insight on decisions you’ve made that weren’t the best or the “right” decision to make, I’m sure you’d want someone to treat you with respect and not dehumanize you. We all make mistakes, it doesn’t define who we are, the only thing it does is create an opportunity to learn from the choice we made. Everyone should be allowed to make mistakes without fearing people like you treating them as if they’re less than a normal human being.

It's hard to dislike the perp or the cop. Both seem really genuine. I almost forget that as nice as he is, this guy was still perfectly willing to put the lives of innocent motorists in danger to avoid a ticket. This could have ended a lot worse for everybody.
@klausschwab40192 жыл бұрын
I doubt they see it that way, all they see is a danger in their rearview mirror and want to escape that danger. Theres not much thinking beyond that, hence why he drove into a tree.

@Weatheredstorms1 Жыл бұрын
I have to say the guy was pretty nice. But he really put people’s lives in danger. My cousin’s three kids were killed in a crash when a driver was going the wrong way. There were 5 people in the car and only 2 survived. He could’ve killed someone. I hope that after 2031 when he gets out of prison (he hasn’t yet been sentenced for this yet and with the drugs (he’s in prison right now for drugs not counting this incident) he’s looking at three additional felonies on top of the ones he’s already in prison for. Sadly he’s also 600 lbs. I hope he’s able to lose weight in prison, otherwise he very well could be looking at a very short lifespan.

At least they didn't have to worry about him fleeing on foot or having anything in his waistband. It's also pretty clear that he'd had any fight knocked out of him by the wreck. This is clearly one of the times that the cops handled the situation to almost perfection.
