This homily is really an epiphany for me - my attendance at mass each time should relive the Maggi who offered sacrifice of worship to Him, such that I do not leave the same way I came. And not leaving the same way I came could be as basic as not leaving with that burden i came with, not leaving without letting Him know of that prayer point in my heart. Or as humble as lifting my hands in worship during the eucharistic prayer

Thank you Fr. Mike for your Sunday homily. Every time I go to Mass I always ask my Guardian Angel to take my empty vessel up to the altar and I fill it up with everything that I’m thankful for and all my worries. I also put my children and grandchildren at the foot of the cross, so that my Lord Jesus Christ can help guide them back to their faith and the Catholic Church. Jesus I Trust In You 🙏🏼

Thank you Father. Show me your glory and mercy dear Jesus.I will continue to trust in you. I pray that you protect my family and me from all the evil and those who would like to harm us. I feel so alone. My husband died years ago. I miss him dearly. Bring a single mom is hard on me because both of my sons are autistic, they require a lot from me because they are also non verbal. Every month is a struggle since I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital. I lost my job because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition lupus, and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption. I wish I could go back to the hospital but the mandate is still in place hospital employees must have covid 19 vaccination. I’m now waitressing and I’m so grateful but I’m not making nearly enough to get by. I’m constantly harassed and mocked on this app for sharing my testimony and for asking for prayers. It truly hurts my soul. Prayers are all I need. I’m so ashamed. I want to give up. I’m so tired of struggling it’s so discouraging. But God gives me the strength to keep going! Even as I face homelessness seemingly every month. And even as I’m put down and harassed constantly. I Know that our Heavenly Father will provide. He is the God of possible. Please pray for me and my boys. God bless! ❤️

I loved God when I was just young enough to reach the big family bible dad had left on the bed, full of colorful pictures like paintings and every chapter and something colorful to start the chapter. I was in awe of it. I could only just reach it. I know it existed because I remember it. Then if I attended 250 sundays of sunday school so they would give me a GOODNEWS bible. I got that bible still today. It's very old now and has highlights everywhere and pictures inside etc. I did that over the years. Then I went to CRUSADERS. They would take us on holiday too. I think it was the Isle of White. Then a Baptist Church youth group and I told all the rest previously.

I like how the Church takes away the old liturgy, altar rails, traditional vestments, allows unvested laymen on the altar, in a word does everything possible to make Mass seem casual and then wonders why people think of it as box checking. Doubly humorous is that public Mass was shut down over a virus in every single diocese in America. Made for Mass indeed! How about not having policies whereby only the most committed can remain faithful while routinely making aesthetic sacrifices?

I forgot to add: how many are being denied the Eucharist kneeling, which is both reverent and permissible? Yes, if only there were some explanation as to why people are taking this casually. (I usually recieve standing, but the idea of denying someone kneeling is appalling and I would gladly accept an altar rail.)
