Is it against God's word to attend a gay wedding??? I'm so conflicted and don't know what to do. Anyone???

Is anyone out there old enough to remember cracking nuts and picking out nutmeats? I remember that my grandmother used to pray while we did this together. Slower, quieter times.

Ever since I was in high school (decades ago) and I read "The Practice of the Presence of God" by Brother Lawrence, who kept company with the Lord while cleaning pots and pans, I've loved washing dishes.

I am filing my students' work as I am listening to this, and it is heartening to think that even if NONE of them tuned in to my comments on their term papers, God sees my work. --On another note, I appreciate the radiant beauty of the phrase "the sexual embrace" within its right context of sacramental marriage. Thank you for this, Fr. Mike. I learned and was challenged, as always.

Hello father, I have a question. Even if married, is sexual intercourse without the intent of pregnancy a sin? I have read from previous pope's this act frustrates the spirit. Is this a subject that could change with the times?

*Well the point of the Mass is to connect or re-connect to the Lord and all that comes with that*

Father Mike I want to baptize my children but we have no one to be a godparent. Can we still baptize my children without a godparent ?

In a fact an ordinary orthodox mass is a very dull event. We are not allowed to alrtar of course, and I think every time what are I really doing there

Dear father Mike, this is really what I needed today. I struggled at work with my tasks, boss and coworkers. Last weeks, specially today, I’ve been moaning nonstop , considering my job worthless. Thanks for reminding me that I always can offer my work to God even during the hardest days.

I think many don’t realize or overlook the definition of Charity in the catechism-“1822 Charity is the theological virtue by which we love God above all things for his own sake, and our neighbor as ourselves for the love of God.” The last part is the part that changed everything for me “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD” all that we do, we do for God because we love Him. And my prayer at the end of each mass, for myself and for all leaving mass. “God, help me (us) to take you with me, as I go into the world.”

I saw this title and thought of how i was raised by my grandmother. Every location in the kitchen had a prayer. At the end of the day scrubbing the floor was the rosary. A simpler time.

I listened to this while doing the dishes as my wife took care of the baby and the laundry. I’m currently between jobs and so often I feel that most of what I do is meaningless. This was just what I needed to hear. Thank you Jesus 🙏

Wow, Father, you really outdid yourself today! One of best homilies I have EVER heard in my almost-73 years of life!

The end of this homily reminded me very much of when my mom received the anointing of the sick a couple days before she passed after an 18 year on and off battle with cancer. Father came to my parents’ home and after he greeted my mom, she wanted to know how he was doing. Father found this remarkable. She was definitely a remarkable woman.

I cannot go to Mass so am grateful for your sending out your prayers and Masses on my smartphone. I am not disabled but where I am will not let me leave premises and come back in.

I feel like the sexual embrace can’t be “essential” to marriage otherwise, Mary and Joseph’s marriage couldn’t be valid. I think in ordinary circumstances, this may be (and id say is) extremely beneficial but there must be some circumstances (eg holy family) where this isn’t required….yeah?
